I have been a bit slack on the cover finding front lately, since I have been working on a bit of a project for my other time-consuming hobby, so I only have a couple of new discoveries. Both have a red thing going on, with varying degrees of success.
The first one is from the upcoming series from Tami Dane featuring heroine Sloane Skye. Blood of Eden is a December 6th release, with at least two more books to follow. I am thinking that the sort of dull look of this one could be just that it doesn’t translate well to picture what with the gold foil and deep color, but I bet it would be pretty in person.
The second one is the cover for the third book in Andrea Cremer‘s Nightshade series, this one called Bloodrose. Now, the covers for both Bloodrose and the second book, Wolfsbane, are fine. But they are nowhere near the original cover for the first book, Nightshade. That one has the distinction of being one of the prettiest covers I have ever seen, and I was so hoping they would keep that look going, but no luck. Bloodrose is a February 2st release.

I LOVED Nightshade & the cover! I was disappointed with the 2nd cover, but I think the 3rd is better than the 2nd. Of course they are such a different look than the 1st book…so looking forward to the 2nd book though! BTW-I think I remember there was a different 2nd book cover that had more of the look of the 1st book, but they ended up changing it
I thought I remembered a different book cover, too, more like the first. Not as stunning, but very pretty in shades of green. I don’t know why they changed it, because the second version looked pretty standard. Like you say, the Bloodrose cover is a bit better, but they were on to something with Nightshade, and I wish they would have kept it up.
Yes, you’re right. It was in the greens. At least that was in keeping with same “look & feel” of the first one. That’s too bad they changed it
