Pick of the Week

It wasn’t like there was a lot to chose from this week, what with me only listing one new release and all, but it does happen to be one I have been looking forward to.  Forever is the third and final book in the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy from Maggie Stiefvater, and I enjoyed the first two quite a bit.  I am not a rabid Young Adult fan, but I do follow a couple of series and this is one of them.  Unfortunately, most of the reviews I have seen so far have been less than glowing, but who know?

Synopsis…

then.

When Sam met Grace, he was a wolf and she was a girl. Eventually he found a way to become a boy, and their love moved from a curious distance to the intense closeness of shared lives.

now.

That should have been the end of their story. But Grace was not meant to stay human. Now she is the wolf. And the wolves of Mercy Falls are about to be killed in one final, spectacular hunt.

forever.

Sam would do anything for Grace. But can one boy and one love really change a hostile, predatory world? The past, the present, and the future are about to collide in one pure moment – a moment of death or life, farewell or forever.

  1. I am SOOOO looking forward to this one. Just waiting for it to arrive from Amazon. This is one of my favorite YA series-I absolutely fell in love with “Shiver” :-) I’m trying to avoid the reviews, because I just want to read it without other peoples “thoughts” about it my head.

    • That is the tricky part. I get all excited and hope to see that people liked it. Then if there are a lot of lesser star ratings I get curious as to why. Then, I have to read a bit of the reviews, while hoping to avoid major spoilers. Painful, I should just stay away but I like to torture myself.

      • I usually torture myself too, but I’m not allowing myself with this book! LOL! :-)

      • Um….no because I just totally failed :( Just got notice from one of the blogs and guess what they were reviewing? Seriously? I didn’t read the actual view, but I did look to see what she rated it (4 stars), so that’s good! LOL! I’m still unhappy with myself for looking though :(

    • Mine is stuck in the mail, too. I did get my copy of Passion, though, so that will keep my Young Adult section going. I am drooling waiting for Bloodlines – that one is my Biggie.
