In the process of updating the new release pages I have come across a few new covers. Some are great – some not so much, though. The first one really caught my eye – it is from the upcoming new series from Anya Bast called Brotherhood of the Damned. The first book is Embrace of the Damned, and it should be out on May 1st.

Next up is Captivated. It is the third book in Lauren Dane‘s Phantom Corps series, and it should be on the shelves on May 1st, as well.

Sharon Shinn is new to me, but she will be releasing a new shifter book on April 3rd called The Shape of Desire. By the cover, I really thought it was more YA than adult, but I was wrong.

Number four is from Caris Roane and her Ascension series. Obsidian Flame is the fifth book, due out on April 24th.

Lies & Omens is the next Shadows Inquiries book from Lyn Benedict. It will be released on April 24th.

Aaand, looks like there has been a bit of a design change for Lydia Dare. Her next book, The Wolf Who Loved Me, gave me more of the old-time historical romance cover vibe than a paranormal than her other books. This one is due out next April.

Rebecca Zanetti‘s next Dark Protectors book cover follows the theme of the past 3, which I appreciate (I don’t like it when they change design in mid stream). Hunted is an April 24th, release.

The Claimed is the title of the second book of Caridad Pineiro‘s new Sin Hunters series, due out on May 1st.

And finally, it the Elisabeth Staab King of Darkness cover. This is the first book in a new series, called the Chronicles of Yavn (which I always read as Yawn), and should be available on February 1st.

K, you are on a roll with these postings!!! Thank you and my mountain thanks you for making it colossal!!! LOL!!! XOXOXO!!!
Wicked Scribes – best book blog on Earth!
Thanks, Lea. You made my day! Makes all the time spent worth while.
FYI, “King of Darkness” is available as an ARC at Netgalley. I’m thinking of requesting it when there’s an actual blurb.
Hm, I did the Netgalley thing once, but never got around to actually reading the book until the paperback came.
Yeah, I tend to put my NG books on the back burner sometimes for more interesting ones. But in this tough economy-aka, Girlfriend Be Broke-any LEGAL website that gives me access to free books is on the top of my “Hell YEAH!” list.
And the good thing about them is that they are usually quite early, too. No waiting until everyone else has already read it – I was just too darn lazy to read at the computer. Story of my life.
The Wolf Who Loved me cover kinda remind me of old historical romance novels cover. But its not bad after all =). I love that cover rather than Lydia Dare’s previous books.
As for Obsidian Flame, its seems weird, esp for the female part =/
Yeah, it isn’t quite the “bodice ripper” that a lot of the old historical romances were, but it has the same vibe for sure. I didn’t mind it either, so I hope they keep the same look for the other two books to come in the series.
Obsidian Flame is too photoshopped or something. Looks…awkward somehow.
