Yep. You will notice a theme going here – authors whose last names start with A. I am going through and adding to the series reading list section, and as I was doing the “A” authors, I found a couple of tidbits I thought I would post.
- First up is Ann Aguirre. This very busy author (she also writes under Ava Gray and Ellen Connor) is branching out. She has not one, but two new series starting up. The first one is set in her Sirantha Jax world, and she describes it as Prison Break in space. There will be at least three books in the Dread Queen series – Damnation, Obliteration, and Liberation are the titles, and they will be published starting in the Fall of 2013. The second series is Steampunk /Fantasy /Mystery, with at least two books. Bronze Gods will be published in June of 2013, and will be followed by Silver Mirrors the following year.
- Jennifer L. Armentrout (not to be confused with fellow author Jennifer Armintrout, which threw me off for about an hour) also has some new things planned. The first book in her new Young Adult Lux series, Obsidian, has been getting rave early reviews, and it will be followed by Onyx next March. She will also be writing a new, adult trilogy called Unchained. Book one, Unchained, will be out next March, and will be followed by two more later on in the year.
- And finally, looks like Keri Arthur will be re-releasing quite a few titles in the coming couple of years. The rights to her early works from ImaJinn have been bought by Bantam Dell, and they will be re-publishing her Spook Squad series, the Ripple Creek Werewolves books, the Damask Circle books, and the Nikki and Michael series books. No cover art or official release dates are available as yet, but if you want to check out the coming books, head over to Keri Arthur’s site – keriarthur.com
