December is a pretty slow release month for me, but there are a few interesting ones kicking off this week. Author Zoe Archer fires up the Hellraisers with the release of Devil’s Kiss.
1762. James Sherbourne, Earl of Whitney, is a gambling man. Not for the money. But for the thrill, the danger—and the company: Whit has become one of the infamous Hellraisers, losing himself in the chase for adventure and pleasure with his four closest friends.
Which was how Whit found himself in a gypsy encampment, betting against a lovely Romani girl. Zora Grey’s smoky voice and sharp tongue entrance Whit nearly as much as her clever hands—watching them handle cards inspires thoughts of another kind…
Zora can’t explain her attraction to the careless blue-eyed Whit. She also can’t stop him and his Hellraisers from a fiendish curse: the power to grant their own hearts’ desires, to chase their pleasures from the merely debauched to the truly diabolical. And if Zora can’t save Whit, she still has to escape him…
It will be followed by Demon’s Bride in May, and Sinner’s Heart after that.
The second title is from Amanda Bonilla. Shaedes of Gray is the first book of the new Shaede Assassin series.
For nearly a century, Darian has lived in the shadows. Made and abandoned by her once true love, Azriel, she is a Shaede. Her ability to become one with the dark, coupled with her jaded heart has made her the perfect assassin. Taking out the bad guy is a better reward than the money she’s paid to do her job. And she does it well.
When her seductive employer, Tyler, sends her on a routine hit, Darian is shocked to discover not only another Shaede, but Xander Peck, the charming, albeit over-confident King of the Shaede Nation. Xander draws her into his dark realm for one reason: find and kill the man who set her adrift in the world. Darian can’t help but wonder if she’s finally taken on a job too big, even for her. As her role in awakening an ancient evil is revealed, she’s forced to face who she was, who she is, and what she might become. Can she be the killer she’s convinced herself she is while holding on to the one part of her that’s still human—her heart and her ability to love?
Book two will be called Blood Before Sunrise, due out on July 3rd.
And finally, Tami Dane debuts the first book of her Sloane Skye series this week with the release of Blood of Eden.
Twenty year old Graduate student Sloan Skye dreamed of being a criminal profiler since she watched her first episode of Criminal Minds. When she steps into the FBI Academy for a summer internship, she’s closer to reaching that goal…until everything goes wrong.
Instead of working with the Behavioral Analysis Unit, learning how to profile rapists and arsonists, she’s stuck in the Paranormal Behavioral Analysis Unit, chasing an immortal killer with a taste for blood.
She’s going to need a lot more than a Glock and some holy water to make it through the summer alive.
There will be at least two more books, with Blood of Innocence due out on June 5th.

Hi K! Thanks for these. I am primarily interested in Devil’s Kiss.
I hope you’re well. Been swamped. I’m reading Immortal Rider right now. It’s coming along, but I don’t have a lot of time lately.
XOXO…..
Hey Lea. Yep, hope you are doing well, too. I haven’t been getting any reading done at all lately, which sucks. Immortal Rider is staring at me, along with Cynthia Eden’s new one. I just can’t seem to get the right time to read the suckers.
I’m looking forward to reading all three of these new series…So many good books coming out this month!
I am biting my nails waiting for next month, so I can get my hands on Lothaire. Can’t wait.
I’ve heard so great things about Shaedes of Gray, so now I’m very curious about this one.
I did, too. And for that matter, the other two strike me as a nice change from the normal, as well. Might have to dive in.
