Pick of the Week

The joy of being on vacation is not having to keep track of the days.  The pain of vacation is losing track of the days and not remembering to do things when you are supposed to.  That is why my pick of the week is in fact a day late – I lost a day somewhere.  Soooo, anyhow.  There were a couple of books this week that had me interested, but I decided to go with Wild Cat by Jennifer Ashley.  It is the third book of her Shifters Unbound series, and I found the first two to be surprisingly good.  You know those books that you buy thinking “eh, might be o.k.”, and then you end up surprised by how much you enjoyed it?  That was this series for me.

Synopsis…

When Diego Escobar assists in what should be a simple task of arresting a trespasser, he comes face-to-face with his first Shifter–the beautiful Cassidy Warden, sister of the Shiftertown liaison, Eric.

Assigned to watch over Cassidy to make sure she doesn’t break any more laws, Diego learns more about the lonely, wild Cassidy than it’s safe to know. Diego might be human, but he’s virile and darkly handsome, and stirs the mating desire in Cassidy, which she thought dead forever. Once the fires begin, nothing and no one can put them out.

There will be at least two more full books, and a couple of e-books, from this series.

  1. This is on my list but it had to take a second place to Raven Cursed (which came out the same day) by Faith Hunter. I’ll probably get this one next week.
