I’m very curious to read this one. I don’t know what I really think about this cover but it’s much better than the last one.
I thought this one was a cool cover, too. And you are right, it is a step up from the last one.
My first reaction to this cover was “Oh! Hey! Boobs! NICE!” then I thought “Wait…those are Anita aka Womb of Doom’s boobs. Ewwww!” Then I barfed.
Yep, I have been hearing a bit about Anita and…my drive to read this series is pretty much non-existent. So, you won’t be recommending it either, right?
I will break my foot off in my own ass before I ever recommend this series. I loved the first 7 or so books but then it quickly went to crap. The last Blake book I read was #18, Flirt. When I started this series, I was an angsty, boy-crazy kiddie who adored the gore, guts, evisceration & girl power Anita Blake stood for. Now at the very old, very wise age of 22, I simply do not hate myself enough to keep reading this series.
I was tempted for about a minute to grab it – but as soon as I found out that Anita Blake has more than one fella (I do like one hero to a story), it was a no no for me.
I am a VERY huge fan of all of her books Anita and Meredith.. and I can’t wait to read this one.
It is good you stayed a fan, since a lot of the feedback I have read on the later books has been iffy.
