As usual, I nabbed a couple of these from All Things Urban Fantasy, so many thanks. Might as well start with a beauty, to counteract the beast that I will post last. Keri Arthur posted the cover for Darkness Hunts, the fourth book in her Dark Angels series, due out on November 6th. All of the covers for this series have been great, and this one is probably my favorite of them so far.
Next up is one I just heard of last night. Dark Star, from Bethany Frenette, seems like a fun take on superheroes and superpowers. This one is due out on October 23rd.
Wolf at the Door, part of the Jesse James Dawson series from K.A. Stewart, looks interesting. It is scheduled for release on August 7th.
Lynsay Sands continues her fun Argeneau Vampire series with the release of The Lady is a Vamp. This one is due out on July 31st.
This is a series I have always been meaning to get into, but never quite managed it. Night Forbidden is the fifth book of Joss Ware‘s The Envy Chronicles, due out on July 31st.
Now. Good Lord, this is one ugly beast of a cover. Even after the debacle that was Dark Predator, the Carpathians are still my guilty pleasure, but the cover for Christine Feehan‘s upcoming Dark Storm is not the way to get back into my good graces. I have no idea what they were going for here – must be the same people who butchered Nalini Singh’s Tangle of Need cover by trying to get all artsy. This one will land on the shelves on September 4th.

Love the new theme, Kaleigha!
You are right; Dark Storm is fugly. Why the hell is the “hero” clutching a flower? Singh has turned me into a sucker for wings, so of course I’m in love with the Keri Arthur cover!
Thanks, Lethal…just the basics now, but I am going to play around with things for a while. Dark Storm is the fug, definitely. I saw a small version of it a few weeks back, and thought that it might look better full size. Nope. God
I am loving the wings, too, lately. My new “thing”, I think.
I loved the new theme!
About the covers my favorite was Darkness Hunt, althought I haven’t started this series yet.
I follow the Carpathians but didn’t really enjoyed the summary for Dark Predator so he’s still on to read list, does it matter to the story if I don’t read him? Cause I don’t feel liked but I loved this series.
Thanks…glad you like! Still a lot to do, but at least I finally have something to start with.
I haven’t read the Dark Angels yet, either, but it is on the dreaded list. Like you, I have followed the Carpathians faithfully, and I absolutely couldn’t wait for Dark Predatar – and I haven’t been that let down by a book in a long, long time (although some reviews I read were quite positive, it seems that this one was a love it or hate it book). To be honest, this one is almost completely stand alone – there was next to no interaction with any previous characters, and for me it didn’t advance the overall story any, so I think you could skip Dark Predator and not miss a thing.
Great, because I’ll definily skip it. Thanks.
Oh Good Lord is right K! I haven’t read her series, but what is up with that cover? That’s bad
But…I do like that cover for Keri Arthur’s book (haven’t read this series either)
I thought it was a joke at first…blech. I think my “favorite” part is the glowy orange mini-dragon thing that looks like a t-rex to me. You figure they would at least keep the theme going that they had on the past few books…ew! Wonder if this is the new template?!?!
Yes, the dragon part and the flower are my “favorite” parts! I hope this isn’t the new template…
Oh BTW, I love the new design. I didn’t see the new picture on my work computer (lame), but now I see on my home one! Very cool!
Thanks…kinda fun playing with it, but I will have a stroke if I mess something up.
Love the new layout!!
Thanks, Ferdy! Much appreciated.
Oh I’m in love with the Darkness Hunts cover. I haven’t read this series yet, but now I’m quite curious about it!
your new design is amazing! Nice change!
Thanks, Melliane. Been trying to come up with something different for a while, but just couldn’t get anything I like. I hope this is a good place to start.
