I have been whining for a few weeks about wanting to find a really well done cover, and Patricia Briggs never disappoints. I saw, like most people have already, the smaller version of Frost Burned that has been out and about for a week or so now, but this is the first full sized one I could get my hands on. Frost Burned is due out on March 5th.
Now this second one gives me a young adult vibe, even though it isn’t. Oath Bound is the third book of Rachel Vincent‘s Unbound series, due out on February 19th.
And finally for this post comes the cover for the fourth book from Elle Jasper‘s Dark Ink Chronicles, Black Fallen. It is due for release on December 31st.

As always, Dan Dos Santos has done a wonderful job with Mercy Thompson. Oath bound by Rachel Vincent… i do love every books she write, but this cover is not the best she ever had. If i didn’t already know her, the cover wouldn’t make me pick it up. As for Black Fallen, i don’t know this author, but i like the cover. Maybe i’ll give a look. Now, there is another cover released yesterday, Wicked as she want by Delilah S. Dawson. http://delilahpaints.blogspot.ca/2012/08/more-cover-reveal.html. Another good job by Tony Mauro. She also released the cover for the e-novella in the same world, The Mysterious Madam Morpho. http://delilahpaints.blogspot.ca/2012/08/mysterious-madam-morpho-cover-reveal.html
He does beautiful work – between he and Tony Mauro, they should be forced to do all PNR and UF covers. It would make things much easier.
Thanks for the Wicked cover link, I was hoping to find that puppy soon! Much appreciated!
March 2013???
OMG, i’d forgotten that the wait was that long. Between her and JR Ward, I am going to have an anxiety attack. That Mercy Thompson cover is nice!!
I haven’t read Elle Jasper, maybe I will try her out
Yep, it does suck. And the kicker is that since it is only one book a year, it turns out to be two years between books for each series. That does hurt. A lot.
I just read read Rachel Vincent’s blog post today and here what she said about the cover: “I love the gold, and I love that Sera looks younger than the other heroins in the trilogy, which is accurate. She’s around Faythe’s age, if memory serves. (I’ve written another book and a half since I wrote Oath Bound, and my memory is fuzzy on the details, but I’ll be doing revisions on it very soon!) ” Faythe is from her Shifter series (which is one my favorites).
I always love the covers for the Mercy Thompson series. I just wish we wouldn’t have to wait so long between books. *sigh*
It really did give me a young adult vibe – I have the first couple of the Shifter books that you rec’d on TBR – they are another “soon” read. Someday…
I really can’t wait to read the Patricia Briggs book, like the cover as well. I haven’t tried yet the Elle Jasper series but it’s intriguing.
I seem to be on a white cover-love binge lately. Maybe just because so very many others are sticking to the same old black that it is just a nice treat. I haven’t hit the Elle Jasper books, either, for some reason. They seemed to have slipped under my radar somehow.
