Word has come out recently that Larissa Ione has signed on to write a new Vampire series starting next year. It looks like some info is starting to come to light about the first book, Bound by Night. For some reason, I was thinking that it would be an offshoot of the Demonica/Lords of Deliverance series, but I am not getting that vibe from it from the synopsis. Amazon is showing a release date of July 23rd. 2013.
Bound by Night…
Nicole Martin was only eight years old when she narrowly survived a massacre: her family’s vampire slaves rebelled and killed everyone in her household. Twenty years later, Nicole now dedicates herself to finding a vaccine against vampirism…and eradicating the gruesome memories that give her nightmares.
Riker, a member of the wild vampire Moon Clan, is haunted by his own demons—his wife Lorraine had been captured and enslaved by the Martin family. It was during a botched escape attempt that she was killed, along with their unborn child. Still wracked with grief and anger, Riker is now fueled solely by the desire to rescue vampire slaves…and slaughter their owners.
When Riker stumbles upon Nicole in a chance meeting, he immediately recognizes her as a member of the Martin family that once enslaved his wife—and she recognizes him as the wild vampire she saw kissing a pregnant slave in the moments before her violent death—an image that has haunted her dreams for years.
When Riker kidnaps Nicole and they spend a night together in a cave on the way back to his clan, suddenly they begin to realize that they aren’t as different from one another as they may have thought—and they’re finding themselves drawn to one another…
Amazon is listing the second book, as yet untitled, for June 1st 2014.

I may be spoiled (probably am) but I tire of series that have books a year or more apart. Especially when many times they leave you with a cliffhanger ending, although to be honest and fair Larissa Ione has not done this in any book I can remember at the moment, she leaves some teasers but the main plot is usually taken care of and she might leave a teaser for the next book.
I do find hers mostly stand-alone, like you say. There is enough to keep you interested in the next book, but it doesn’t leave you pulling your hair out waiting. I do find the write up for this one intriguing, though.
I am impatiently waiting for Reaver’s (which is Daemonica book, according from what I read in the back of Rogue Rider’s ARC), but guess Larissa can’t always write about the Sem and the Horsemen, right?
I’m curious too to read this one, and have faith in her. She will write an awesome book
She hasn’t let me down yet, either – and she usually makes her books just a little bit different from the rest, which is great.
Yay! That’s awesome news that she’s going to have a new series! I like the synopsis
I do like that she does shorter, more contained series and then branches out. Makes it a bit of the unknown.
I wish I could think of something witty or smart in response to your news and info about a new Ione series, but after reading the blurb all I can think of is…..
“OOOOOOOOHHHHH!!!!!! GIMME GIMME!”
Add on an evil cackle, and that is my reaction, too. I do love seeing info about new books – makes me happy.
YAY! EXCITED!!! EXCITED!!! I loved the Demonica series and I too am waiting not so patiently for the next Lords of Deliverance!
Not long to go now – can’t wait to see how she redeems Reseph. Talk about the ultimate bad boy…
oops meant to say Daemonica
