New Series Alerts…

I think this is actually a first.  There are only two new series starting up this week…but one of them has already been featured in  a new series alert post.  Gravity, from author Melissa West, was supposed to be released a few weeks ago but was pushed back to December 18th.

In the future, only one rule will matter:

Don’t. Ever. Peek.

Seventeen-year-old Ari Alexander just broke that rule and saw the last person she expected hovering above her bed—arrogant Jackson Locke, the most popular boy in her school. She expects instant execution or some kind of freak alien punishment, but instead, Jackson issues a challenge: help him, or everyone on Earth will die.

Ari knows she should report him, but everything about Jackson makes her question what she’s been taught about his kind. And against her instincts, she’s falling for him. But Ari isn’t just any girl, and Jackson wants more than her attention. She’s a military legacy who’s been trained by her father and exposed to war strategies and societal information no one can know—especially an alien spy, like Jackson. Giving Jackson the information he needs will betray her father and her country, but keeping silent will start a war.

This next one caught my attention a while back when I first read the synopsis, and I have been looking forward to getting my hands on Jordan Dane‘s Indigo Awakening ever since.  It is the first book of the Hunted series.

indigo awakeningSynopsis…

Because of what you are, the Believers will hunt you down.

Voices told Lucas Darby to run. Voices no one else can hear. He’s warned his sister not to look for him, but Rayne refuses to let her troubled brother vanish on the streets of LA. In her desperate search, she meets Gabriel Stewart, a runaway with mysterious powers and far too many secrets. Rayne can’t explain her crazy need to trust the strange yet compelling boy–to touch him–to protect him even though he scares her.

A fanatical church secretly hunts psychic kids–gifted “Indigo” teens feared to be the next evolution of mankind–for reasons only “the Believers” know. Now Rayne’s only hope is Gabe, who is haunted by an awakening power–a force darker than either of them imagine–that could doom them all.

They are our future–if they survive…

  1. I just started Gravity yesterday! The date changed so many times I didn’t know when I was going to receive it. Haha! I’ve also got Indigo Awakening on my TBR for sure. Will be getting that one soon :-)

    • It was strange the way the dates moved around, but then it seems like Entangled (I think it was published through Entangled) did that with a ton of its titles.

      • Yes, I noticed that too. Of course I had a few of those pre-ordered. I’m still waiting on one of them (Flawed by Kate Avelynn). I feel bad for the authors :(

      • It really must be hard for the authors – how do you do your publicity and generate interest when the dates keep moving? Also, they are probably three books ahead by the time the first one is finally released.

      • Exactly! I did notice though, that on some of the ones I had pre-ordered, they released the e-book version earlier than the PB, but you know I have to wait for the PB :-)

On a side note, I tried twice to leave a comment on your Cover Lover post, but they didn’t show up. Not sure what happened :(

      • God knows…things have been acting wonky on wordpress. They changed the picture posting technique, so who knows what else they have been playing with…
