There are a couple of things in life that truly do suck. One of them is having your main computer die, taking with it the files, links, sites and pictures you have totally been meaning to back up for a while now. Any day now. Really soon-ish. But never did. I didn’t lose anything too terrible, since I do have an external hard drive where I stored many things, and a laptop to handle the internet needs. I never did get around to actually setting up the laptop since I only use it for character guides, but it is better than nothing. Well, crap happens. Now I get to buy a new Precious, so not all bad, right?
On to bigger and better things. My pick of the week was between Lara Adrian‘s next Midnight Breeds book, Edge of Dawn, and Gena Showalter‘s Beauty Awakened. For some reason, though, Beauty Awakened just squeaked by with the win.

So, what are you dying to get your hands on this week? Anything you have been anxiously waiting for?
I’ve had that happen to me after one of my computers died on me. After that I have backed up everything on Adrive online storage. It is a life saver now. Not to mention it gives me peace of mind. I’m dying to get my hands on Beauty Awakened, but it’s not available on Audible.com yet! *pouts* That is really unusual for Audible they always have new releases listed on release day. I’m on book #7 of the Midnight Breed series so I won’t be grabbing Edge of Dawn till I get there.
I had signed up for an online storage site, but never ended up using it. I just have to get in the habit of double saving (external and internal drives), but I was lazy. Even losing the bookmarks is a pain, actually. It is amazing how much you have stored on your computer that you don’t think of until it is gone…
So sorry about your computer!
This has happened to me before. Lost a lot of stuff. Have a new one now, but I still need to do a back up myself.
I’m starting with Edge of Dawn and then Beauty Awakened. My copy of EOD is arriving today and I think Beauty Awakened tomorrow, plus my friend is borrowing my copy of EOD after I read it (she treats my books like I treat my books
). I’m really looking forward to both books!

I already got the books that I have been waiting for until April. I was lucky to happen to find Nalini Singhs wild Invitation on sale at the book store in Penn station and I can’t wait start reading gena showlater and lara adrians books.
I am so jealous about Nalini’s book…drooling over the thought of Cooper and Grace. Can’t wait.
