Things have been a bit shady around here lately, and that is totally my fault. When my desktop computer died (goodbye, Ethel), I was left with a perfectly good laptop. The thing is, I had never taken the time to set it up, get used to it, nothing (scroll up, scroll down, why the hell did the whole keyboard lock?!?) So when Ethel died I pretty much stopped my routine on the blog since I had to fight to do everything on the laptop – even resizing the pictures for the cover lover posts was quite frankly a pain in the ass. Having Doug‘s reviews was a lifesaver, since I had more than one snit over trying to post my own stuff. Well, after waiting a week, my new computer has arrived.
I’ve named it Earl.
Unless everything croaks when I turn it off tonight, I should be back to business as usual. My pick of the week post will be coming a day late, but since this is a Nalini Singh release week I am pretty sure you can already guess what it will be. The re-reads (or make that re-re reads) are done again for Clockwork Prince since Ethel took them with her when she croaked, so the Infernal Devices guide will be done this week. I am in the middle of working on a big update for the new release pages, as well, but that might take a couple of more weeks. Thanks for your patience once again.
I am glad I could reduce the stress level a bit
It was a big help, and much appreciated. Especially in the few days it took to try and set everything up to useable levels.
