Cover Lover – Rock Addiction

Word recently broke that Nalini Singh is releasing a New Adult contemporary book called Rock Addiction, which was to be the first book of what was called The Schoolboy Choir series. Well, now it seems the series name has changed to Rock Kiss, and the cover is just now heading our way…

Rock Addiction coverYes? No? No and you are excited anyways? What is your take on Rock Addiction, will you be following Nalini into her new venture? Look for this one in both print and e-format on September 9th.

Cover Lover – Burned, Take II

All credit for this one totally goes to Amber, who gave me the heads-up that Karen Marie Moning posted the updated cover for her next Fever/Dani O’Malley book, Burned. Not nearly as epic as the hardcover for Iced, which I thought was terrific, but it does match up with the paperback re-release. I am still looking forward to it when it comes out on January 20th.

Cover Lover – Cold Burn of Magic

On a quick side note, I had grand plans to add image galleries and blurbs to all of the listings in the Series Reading List section, but unfortunately that didn’t work out. I was chugging along a little at a time, and I had almost finished all of the “A” authors, when things went wonky. It seems that it was just too much for the blog to handle, and it was resulting in both really, really slow loading times and difficulty updating. It is too bad, too, since I liked the idea of it, but at least I am going to update and reformat everything. I am really sorry it didn’t work out, but at least it was worth a shot.

Back to business. Jennifer Estep recently wrapped up her Mythos Academy series, but we won’t have long to wait for another YA series from her. Cold Burn of Magic is the first book of her upcoming Black Blade series, and it is due out on April 28th.

Cover Lover – 9 New Titles

It has been a while since my last Cover Lover post, so a few of these have already been out and around for a while. I guess new-to-me counts for something, right? Let’s start with Jennifer Ashley‘s Shifters Unbound novella collection, Shifter Mates. It is a print bind-up of Lone Wolf and Feral Heat, and it is due out on March 3rd.

Cover Lover – Fangirl Edition

Finding a cover from a favorite author or a much anticipated book makes my day…finding a few on the same day is even better. So, to findĀ  covers for Christine Feehan, Patricia Briggs and Lora Leigh on the same day was a total bonus. Sometimes, when it is a much-anticipated book, I don’t even care if I like the cover – I am still excited.

Let’s start with Patricia Briggs‘ next Alpha and Omega book, Dead Heat. I have to say, Charles might frighten me a bit on this one. It is due out on March 3rd.

I next stumbled on the covers for the next two Lora Leigh Breeds books. This first one is called Overcome, and it is a compilation of 3 previously released novellas which is due out on February 3rd.

That one will be followed by Gideon’s story, Bengal’s Quest, on March 3rd.

It has been a long, long time since the last Ghostwalker book from Christine Feehan, but it looks like things are getting back on track. Viper Game, featuring Wyatt Fontenot, will be out on January 27th.

Amber Benson starts a new series next January with the release of The Witches of Echo Park.

Yasmine Galenorn‘s next Otherworld novel, Panther Prowling, is due out on January 27th.

So, what do you think? Likes? Dislikes? Don’t like it but can’t wait to read it anyways? Which ones of these are on your must-read list?

Cover Lover – 7 New Titles

Another day, another few covers to get us heading towards the end of the week. Let’s start with one I just found, the cover for the next Chicagoland Vampires book from Chloe Neill. Dark Debt is due out on March 3rd.

The Highland Dragon’s Lady, from Isabel Cooper, will be out on December 2nd.

Leah Cypess is up next with Death Marked, the second book in her Death Sworn series. It is due out on March 3rd.

And let’s wrap up things today with Half Wild, the second book from Sally Green‘s Half Life Trilogy, which is due out on March 24th.

Likes? Dislikes? Anything from this batch that you are looking forward to? Dark Debt continues the tradition of great Chicagloland covers, and I really like the Half Wild cover, too.

Cover Lover – The Shadows

I was actually surprised to find this one this early, since J.R. Ward‘s The Shadows isn’t due out until next April 7th. I have to say, I like the purple…it will stand out well on the shelf.

The Black Dagger Brotherhood is one of the most polarizing series I have come across. It has some of the most rabid fans…and some of the biggest detractors. Many found the first few books among the best they have read, but lost interest as the tone of the series changed. Where do you fall? Are you looking forward to Trez and iAm’s stories, or taking a pass on this one?

Cover Lover – 8 New Titles

Covers, covers, covers. That time again. Let’s start with a biggie for most people…Vision of Silver from Anne Bishop. This one is due out on March 3rd.

Cover number two is Soulbound, from Kristen Callihan. This one is due out on February 24th.

Nicole Peeler starts up a new e-book series this November, and the first book is called Jinn and Juice.

J.T. Geissinger is up next with Into Darkness, which is part of her Night Prowler series. It is due out this November.

I haven’t heard of this one before, but Rachel Vincent will be releasing The Stars Never Rise next June.

Next up is Kerry Wilkinson‘s Renegade, which has a release date of January 6th.

And wrapping things up for today is Victoria Aveyard‘s Red Queen, which is due out on February 10th.

Well, what do you think? I sort of thought that Vision in Silver might be, well, silver, but that is nit-picking since at least it matches the first two in the series. I am liking the trend in YA covers to move to a single strong symbol on the cover rather than a model shot…when it is done well, it looks great.

Cover Lover – YA Edition

On my usual cover hunting expedition, I stumbled across 5 new titles, and all of them were young adult. This first one is from the Taken series from Erin Bowman. Forged is due out on April 14th.

forgedLeslie Livingston‘s Transcendent, which is the third book in the Starling series, will be released on December 23rd.

transcendentUnleashed, the sequel to Sophie Jordan‘s Uninvited, will be released on February 24th.

Sorceress is up next. It is the third and final book from the Spellcaster series from Claudia Gray, and it will be released on March 3rd.

This final one is a total new find for me. An Ember in the Ashes is a young adult fantasy from author Sabaa Tahir, and it is due out on April 28th. And rumor has it it has already been optioned by Paramount in a major, major deal.

Cover Lover – The Unleashing

Word has been trickling down about a new series from Shelly Laurenston based on her Hunting Season books. It turns out that the new series will be called Call of Crows, and the first book will be called The Unleashing. Amazon has a listing up for it now showing a release date of March 31st, and the cover just went public today.

What do you think? I have seen that particular cover shot used on a couple of covers over the years, but I have to say that I like this version of it the best.
