Cover Lover – Fangirl Edition

Finding a cover from a favorite author or a much anticipated book makes my day…finding a few on the same day is even better. So, to findĀ  covers for Christine Feehan, Patricia Briggs and Lora Leigh on the same day was a total bonus. Sometimes, when it is a much-anticipated book, I don’t even care if I like the cover – I am still excited.

Let’s start with Patricia Briggs‘ next Alpha and Omega book, Dead Heat. I have to say, Charles might frighten me a bit on this one. It is due out on March 3rd.

I next stumbled on the covers for the next two Lora Leigh Breeds books. This first one is called Overcome, and it is a compilation of 3 previously released novellas which is due out on February 3rd.

That one will be followed by Gideon’s story, Bengal’s Quest, on March 3rd.

It has been a long, long time since the last Ghostwalker book from Christine Feehan, but it looks like things are getting back on track. Viper Game, featuring Wyatt Fontenot, will be out on January 27th.

Amber Benson starts a new series next January with the release of The Witches of Echo Park.

The third book from Robin D. Owens‘ Ghost Seer series, Ghost Killer, will be out on February 3rd.

Yasmine Galenorn‘s next Otherworld novel, Panther Prowling, is due out on January 27th.

And this last one for today is from Amanda Hocking. Frostfire is part of her Kanin Chronicles series, and it is due out on January 6th.

So, what do you think? Likes? Dislikes? Don’t like it but can’t wait to read it anyways? Which ones of these are on your must-read list?

Cover Lover – 7 New Titles

Another day, another few covers to get us heading towards the end of the week. Let’s start with one I just found, the cover for the next Chicagoland Vampires book from Chloe Neill. Dark Debt is due out on March 3rd.

The Highland Dragon’s Lady, from Isabel Cooper, will be out on December 2nd.

These next three are all young adult. Rebellion, the second book from the Extraction series from Stephanie Diaz, is due out on February 10th.

Leah Cypess is up next with Death Marked, the second book in her Death Sworn series. It is due out on March 3rd.

And let’s wrap up things today with Half Wild, the second book from Sally Green‘s Half Life Trilogy, which is due out on March 24th.

Likes? Dislikes? Anything from this batch that you are looking forward to? Dark Debt continues the tradition of great Chicagloland covers, and I really like the Half Wild cover, too.

Cover Lover – The Shadows

I was actually surprised to find this one this early, since J.R. Ward‘s The Shadows isn’t due out until next April 7th. I have to say, I like the purple…it will stand out well on the shelf.

The Black Dagger Brotherhood is one of the most polarizing series I have come across. It has some of the most rabid fans…and some of the biggest detractors. Many found the first few books among the best they have read, but lost interest as the tone of the series changed. Where do you fall? Are you looking forward to Trez and iAm’s stories, or taking a pass on this one?

Cover Lover – 8 New Titles

Covers, covers, covers. That time again. Let’s start with a biggie for most people…Vision of Silver from Anne Bishop. This one is due out on March 3rd.

Cover number two is Soulbound, from Kristen Callihan. This one is due out on February 24th.

Nicole Peeler starts up a new e-book series this November, and the first book is called Jinn and Juice.

J.T. Geissinger is up next with Into Darkness, which is part of her Night Prowler series. It is due out this November.

I haven’t heard of this one before, but Rachel Vincent will be releasing The Stars Never Rise next June.

the stars never riseThis one is funky. Stolen is the second book in Melissa de la Cruz‘s Heart of Dred series, and it is due out on November 18th.

Next up is Kerry Wilkinson‘s Renegade, which has a release date of January 6th.

And wrapping things up for today is Victoria Aveyard‘s Red Queen, which is due out on February 10th.

Well, what do you think? I sort of thought that Vision in Silver might be, well, silver, but that is nit-picking since at least it matches the first two in the series. I am liking the trend in YA covers to move to a single strong symbol on the cover rather than a model shot…when it is done well, it looks great.

Cover Lover – YA Edition

On my usual cover hunting expedition, I stumbled across 5 new titles, and all of them were young adult. This first one is from the Taken series from Erin Bowman. Forged is due out on April 14th.

forgedLeslie Livingston‘s Transcendent, which is the third book in the Starling series, will be released on December 23rd.

transcendentUnleashed, the sequel to Sophie Jordan‘s Uninvited, will be released on February 24th.

Sorceress is up next. It is the third and final book from the Spellcaster series from Claudia Gray, and it will be released on March 3rd.

This final one is a total new find for me. An Ember in the Ashes is a young adult fantasy from author Sabaa Tahir, and it is due out on April 28th. And rumor has it it has already been optioned by Paramount in a major, major deal.

Cover Lover – The Unleashing

Word has been trickling down about a new series from Shelly Laurenston based on her Hunting Season books. It turns out that the new series will be called Call of Crows, and the first book will be called The Unleashing. Amazon has a listing up for it now showing a release date of March 31st, and the cover just went public today.

What do you think? I have seen that particular cover shot used on a couple of covers over the years, but I have to say that I like this version of it the best.

Cover Lover – 4 New Titles

Just a little post for today’s Cover Lover edition…which means I will probably find 10 new covers an hour from now. Usually the way that works, anyways. To get started, let’s go with a re-release from Dianne Duvall. Her Immortal Guardians short story, In Still Darkness, was originally released in the Predatory anthology, but it will be out in e-format on July 29th.

And this final one is from Gail Carriger. Waistcoats & Weaponry is the third and final book in the Finishing School series, and it is due out on November 4th.

That’s it for today. Anything exciting? I have to hit the Donna Grant books to get caught up, but the way she pumps them out that could take a while.

Cover Lover – 4 New Titles

Just a small cover lover post for today. Let’s start with Wickedly Magical, the second book from the Baba Yaga series from Deborah Blake which will be coming out on December 2nd.

And then we have…this…fella. The second book from Alexandra Ivy‘s new Sentinels series is called Blood Assassin, and it is due out on January 6th. I do have to say, dude is not your traditional cover model. Convicted felon? Sure. Model? He may frighten me a little.

What is your take on this mini batch of covers? Any standouts, good or bad for you?

Cover Lover – Bound By Flames

Jeaniene Frost upped the cover for her upcoming third Night Prince book featuring Vlad and Leila, Bound By Flames. This one isn’t due out until January 27th, but Jeaniene also upped an excerpt to tide us all over, which can be found HERE.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to finishing up Vlad and Leila’s story (and starting Ian’s story. This must be so)?
