Hey K, Did you hear about this? Amazon buys Book Depository! It was mentioned in a blog I was reading and I had to look it up. Here’s one article on it. They better not take away the “free shipping”! I haven’t ordered from them yet, but I really like that about them and was planning on ordering from them at some point and I know it’s been really great for you & others.
    http://news.softpedia.com/news/Amazon-Buys-The-Book-Depository-209744.shtml
This will really interesting to see if anything changes on their site.

    • kaleigha July 9, 2011 at 1:19 am #

I have to admit, I was not pleased. I can’t see how Amazon leaves things the same, with their flagship business both charging more per book (Most of the time), and not having completely free shipping. It sort of makes their main business look bad, and they would be selling the exact same item but making less on it. I do hope it stays the same, though.

      Thanks for the link, Amber.

    Hi Kaleigha,

I just want to let you know that I really enjoy your site!

Thanks, Lori. That is always nice to her. I appreciate you taking the time to say it, too.

      That is so cool! :-)

      • kaleigha August 4, 2011 at 8:38 pm #

It is always kind of a blast when you realize that someone reads your stuff…and actually liked it.

    • kaleigha August 4, 2011 at 8:35 pm #

Hm, interesting. I haven’t heard of that one before, so I will have to go through. Thanks for the heads up, Lea.

  4. Charleen Bailey August 7, 2011 at 12:54 am #

I just started reading a book by LJ DeLeon – Warrior’s Rise, Book 1 of Warrior’s for Light. I haven’t seen is listed with your reviews and I think you might enjoy it. I haven’t been able to put it down! It reminds me of the Tairen Soul a little bit. Deva Morgan is the new savior of Earth, as the Holy Weapon of the Fae Goddess, she is the Caidh Arm (Kah-dith), The action starts on the first page and does not let up! The Fae have sent a protector to train and help her, Padraig O’Neal, the Crown Prince of the Fae. The 2nd and 3rd books are already available.

    • kaleigha August 7, 2011 at 12:59 pm #

Hm, thanks Charleen. Haven’t heard of her before, I will take a peek.

  5. Amber Hughes August 9, 2011 at 12:31 am #

Hi K! Question about Book Depository…If you order a few books that are all pre-orders with different release dates, do you know if they ship the whole order together once all the books have come out or will they ship each individual book from that order at the time of their release? Trying to decide how to order from them. Thanks! :-)

    • kaleigha August 9, 2011 at 12:46 am #

The Book Depository ships out individually, as soon as they become available. Most of the time, they actually ship out before their release dates (unless it is one I am panting for, then the buggers seem to like to make me wait). So, you can order as many as you want at one time, and they will come to you as soon as the publisher ships them the books.

      • Amber Hughes August 9, 2011 at 12:51 am #

This is great! Thank you! Borders just sent me 3 cancellations for my online orders (since they’re closing soon), so I have to re-order them. Going to try Book Depository :-)

      • kaleigha August 9, 2011 at 12:36 pm #

Well, the shipping takes a bit longer, but that is the only drawback I have found. But, like I said, usually they ship out early so it sort of balances everything out.

  6. Amber Hughes August 9, 2011 at 4:02 pm #

Can’t be any worse than Amazon’s shipping, so it’s all good! “Retribution” came out a week ago and I’ll just be getting it in my mailbox today or tomorrow from Amazon :( The only thing that is bumming about Book Depository is that I see some books have later release dates (UK release dates) on them than in the US, so I might just pay full price through Amazon if I want those earlier.

    • kaleigha August 9, 2011 at 4:40 pm #

So far, I have still gotten all of mine on the North American release dates. I usually get an early shipping notice and they come on or near the North American release dates.

      • Amber Hughes August 9, 2011 at 4:57 pm #

I’m trying to decide what to do about the “Supernatural” anthology because it shows a release date of much later than North America. Do you think I should just take a chance & order it anyways? Maybe it will come sooner, like yours do :-)

      • kaleigha August 9, 2011 at 6:03 pm #

Weeellll, I really hope it is a “come early”, too, since I ordered it for the last giveaway winner, and that would just suck if it was late. I am going to email them and ask, I guess.

  7. Lea August 9, 2011 at 5:47 pm #

    Hey K…just in case…title of Vlad’s book 1:

Looking through the book synopsis for August 2011 and noticed you have the wrong one for Succubus Revealed….not sure what that one is lol! I love your site and check it daily for updates. Thanks for all your hard work!

    • kaleigha August 16, 2011 at 8:12 pm #

Hm, thanks for the heads up. I will check it out.

  10. Amber Hughes August 18, 2011 at 2:23 am #

Hi K, just wanted to let you know that I got an email from Book Depository saying “Supernatural” has now been made available by the publisher and they will be shipping soon. This is great because they had a much later release date of this book on their site.

    • kaleigha August 18, 2011 at 10:37 am #

Thanks…I was keeping an eye on that, too, since it was a giveaway item. I didn’t mind for me, but I didn’t want to delay anyone else. Bloodlines shipped out yesterday, too.

  11. Douglas Meeks August 18, 2011 at 8:27 am #

    OK, a few things

    1. I have been just occasionally just stalking for awhile, probably will get more involved here.
    2. To anyone who reads this genre and has not read the Dark-Hunter series, you should be ashamed since it is one of the best (maybe THE best in series with over 10 books). Since the reading order timeline can be confusing look here for a good reading order (I am not perfect so any mistakes please let me know)
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/richpub/syltguides/fullview/R36KRICZZ2BXB8/ref=cm_sylt_byauthor_title_full_2
    3. Hooked on anything by Patricia Briggs, the Jane Yellowrock series, Charley Davidson (Last Grave on Right, etc), Dragon Kin by G.A. Aiken/Shelly Laurenston (EVERYBODY should have the first 3 books of this at a minimum just to defeat depression)and other stuff I will list later to keep this from becoming a novel.
    4. Last for now I and a few others spend inordinate amounts of time in the Read, Reading, and Planning to Read forum at Amazon

    http://www.amazon.com/forum/paranormal%20romance/ref=cm_cd_notf_message?_encoding=UTF8&cdForum=Fx2BDELE76KKFOT&cdPage=216&cdThread=TxWB3G3ZLZPBS2#Mx1XH7AWFQGLF4U

    • Darchelle McKesson September 2, 2011 at 10:38 am #

      Hi Doug,
I’m new to this genre and stumbled upon “Bad Moon Rising”. When I discovered there was a whole series (yes, I’ve been living under a rock for the last decade), I was so excited. Her website lists books #1, 2 & 3 as “Night Pleasures”, “Night Embrace”, “Dragonswan” and does not mention “Fantasy Lover”. Is “Fantasy Lover” an Anthology? And you’re right, it’s very confusing. Thanks.

      • kaleigha September 2, 2011 at 11:28 am #

Hi Darchelle. I am not Doug, but I might be able to help.

Fantasy lover isn’t an anthology, more of a prequel book. Some characters are introduced that become part of the main series. I am not quite sure why this one isn’t considered the first book of the series – never made sense to me.

      • Douglas Meeks September 2, 2011 at 2:30 pm #

Well fantasy Lover was considered book 1 until recently and then it suddenly was not :) I think it is more to the fact that it has very little (almost nothing) to do with dark Hunters other than share a couple of characters. I started with Fantasy lover and enjoyed it and still recommend people start there but for some reason a lot of folks don’t enjoy it as well, you can read or skip it but I recommend you read it.

  12. Douglas Meeks September 2, 2011 at 2:42 pm #

Well I am working my way through some of the first books on vampires that I ever read about 10-12 years ago The James Asher novels by Barbara Hambly
    Book 1:

    Book 2:

they are slow moving and excellently written and also excruciatingly detailed, so if you require page after page of action, forget it, this is almost Charles Dickens wordsmithing BUT after 14 years she has written a new novel and I had to reread these to get the new one Blood Maidens Book 3

since these are the books that gave me a thirst for such things I had to buy it, my daughters stole my hard-copies and they are now only in Kindle (at a decent price, the books are horribly expensive) . All this spamming was just to say if you like good writing that is slow but enjoyable try these, otherwise they are just going to be a sleep aid. They are more similar to the old Dracula types with of course 1 vampire who becomes somewhat of a friend, Somewhat because these vampires don’t take a sip, they kill people so it is not a warm relationship LOL

  13. Amber Hughes September 3, 2011 at 12:12 pm #

Just wanted to let you know that “Blood Bound” by Rachel Vincent was excellent! Highly recommend it :-)

Great reviews on Goodreads and Amazon too!

    • kaleigha September 3, 2011 at 12:34 pm #

Thanks, Amber. I ordered that one, and the first couple of shifter books, too. You are a bad, bad influence…

      • Amber Hughes September 3, 2011 at 12:46 pm #

        Me? Noooooooo….YOU are! LOL! :-)

        Nuh-uh.

  14. Amber Hughes September 13, 2011 at 12:38 am #

Hi K! Just read an interview from Karin Tabke/Harlow & she said that Bloodright has been pushed back until April :( Here is what she said: “the release date for BLOODRIGHT was just recently pushed back. I wasn’t kidding when I said BLOODRIGHT nearly sent me to a therapist. I needed more time to write it, since it was so complicated. I’m glad I have that time. I think you’ll be very happy with the story!” Also, it looks like “Blood Vow” is definitely the title of the third book.
It doesn’t look like Amazon has the new date yet though for Bloodright.

    • kaleigha September 13, 2011 at 6:04 am #

Hm, thanks Amber. Must keep an eye out for the new date. I have to agree…if Bloodright goes the direction I am thinking, then that 180 would be a bugger to write.

      • Amber Hughes September 13, 2011 at 4:21 pm #

Yes, it definitely would! What a cliffhanger in the first book! :-)

      • kaleigha September 13, 2011 at 4:33 pm #

And to have to do a total 180 and focus on another hero would be quite the task.

  15. Lea September 24, 2011 at 2:32 pm #

    K and others….

Have you read Blood of the Wicked, book 1 of Karina Cooper’s Dark Mission series? I loved the elements of suspense, action and romance rolled into one. Highly recommend it….

    Happy Reading! :-)

    • kaleigha September 24, 2011 at 9:41 pm #

Nope…of course, it is on the mountain, waving at me. Sigh. Good to know it is a good read – I will bump it up the list.

  16. Lea September 24, 2011 at 10:03 pm #

I would love to begin reading the second book, but I have a book on loan to me called The Rembrandt Affair by Daniel Silva. Mystery/thriller novel that I gave my son’s former 4th grade teacher for her birthday a few months ago. Told her I’d like to read it too and she lent it to me last Friday, so that’s my current read now. I must say, it’s an absolute thriller. Haven’t read one of those in awhile. Loving it.

Then after that, I’m very behind in MANY releases like One Grave at a Time (collecting dust on my shelf), Envy, Archangel’s Blade, and soon…The Darkest Surrender, etc.

I really am going crazy with all these books, but it’s all gooood. :-)

What are you reading now? :-)

    • kaleigha September 24, 2011 at 11:50 pm #

Right now, I have two YA books on the go…Maggie Stiefvater’s Forever, and Laura Wright’s Isle of Night. I am liking Isle of Night, it is a bit different, but Forever is taking a while to get through. Not much exciting going on as yet.

  17. Amber Hughes September 27, 2011 at 1:53 am #

Just saying a quick hello! I’m reading the Fever series right now (on the last book), so I’ve been a little MIA lately. The last book is 671 pages! Craziness! Lol!

    • kaleigha September 27, 2011 at 10:51 am #

I was waiting for the last one to come out in paperback before I started the series…and it has. I am determined to get to it by next month at the latest. How are you liking it?

      • Amber Hughes September 27, 2011 at 4:03 pm #

I’m really liking it! Give the first book a chance. It’s good, but the series definitely continues to get better and better each book :) this is for sure an UF series.

      • kaleigha September 27, 2011 at 7:32 pm #

I am getting more friendly with the UF, so good to know. I am trying so hard to be good with the books, but…you know, one more wouldn’t hurt. Right?

      • Amber Hughes September 27, 2011 at 10:37 pm #

But is it ever just one more…LOL! And so the book addiction continues…:-)

      • kaleigha September 28, 2011 at 1:08 am #

        Without end…

  18. Lea September 27, 2011 at 4:40 pm #

K, have you heard any news about the Lover Reborn cover? Is there an official one?

    • kaleigha September 27, 2011 at 7:33 pm #

Hey Lea…the former official one has disappeared from the publisher’s site, so hopefully we will be getting a redo. Dude on there just didn’t do it for me, at all. I am still on the lookout for the next one, though.

      • Lea September 27, 2011 at 9:29 pm #

Good to know. That’s perhaps an indication that they are still tweaking it. I’ll keep on the lookout as well. I’ll let you know of anything.

        xoxoxoxox

        Stridey-monster? lol……

      • kaleigha September 27, 2011 at 10:11 pm #

We can hope that it will get a redo, or like you say even just a few tweaks. I liked the colors, but the cover dude looked all emo and skinny – not my version of Tohr, at all.

  19. Douglas Meeks September 27, 2011 at 8:17 pm #

For anyone that did not know, one of the finest UF writers in the genre Rob Thurman was in a auto accident over 2 months ago and almost died, she has managed to pull off nothing less than a miraculous recovery and after being taken off all the machines finally is at home recovering. I would highly recommend ANY of her books but I am addicted to the Cal Leandros series, let me be clear, this is great writing , great stories but VERY dark and the first book like many has to spend a lot of time world building. Anyone that wants more info can go to

    http://robthurman.net/blog/

and read the back posts about her recovery, we really did not think she was gonna make it for a bit. Buy the series, it is one of the best UF series going, I wish I could recommend the others but I have yet to read them but I am sure you can get reviews everywhere books are sold :)

    • kaleigha September 27, 2011 at 9:15 pm #

Hey Douglas…I had kept a bit of an eye on her blog, and you are right – she is doing remarkably well. Hard to believe people can come back from accidents like that.

  20. Lea October 6, 2011 at 9:44 am #

Hi K!! Just sharing a funny and great Para-Ops interview with you as well as the cover (hopefully you can locate a larger one somewhere) to the next book, Chosen By Sin (Dex’s story). Love this series. Will be reading Chosen By Fate soon!! :-)

    • kaleigha October 7, 2011 at 1:34 pm #

That’s great, Lea, thanks! I will keep an eye out for another version of the cover. It has a different look than the other two (liked the first one, the second not so much). Thanks again.

  21. Amber Hughes October 7, 2011 at 1:41 pm #

Hi K! I just go some news from Lynsay Sand’s newsletter regarding her next release in the Argeneau vampire series. The next book was going to be her first Hardcover release, but it looks like that has changed. It will now be released as a paperback with a new release date of April 24, 2012.

Here’s what it said on the newsletter from her assistant: “There have been a few changes made to the release dates of some of Lynsay’s upcoming books. The original date of Under A Vampire Moon set as a hardcover release was scheduled for January 3rd, 2012, which meant the paperback version would be released 6 months later in June. However due to overwhelming demand her publisher has decided to publish Under A Vampire Moon as a paperback version.”

Here’s the Amazon link as well:
    http://www.amazon.com/Under-Vampire-Moon-Lynsay-Sands/dp/0062100203/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1318007174&sr=8-1

    • kaleigha October 7, 2011 at 9:58 pm #

Thanks, Amber. I was surprised when I saw this one heading to hardcover, since it didn’t seem “big” enough to make the jump. Paperback makes more sense.

  22. Lea October 13, 2011 at 5:09 pm #

Hi K!! Just got done listening to a live chat with Gena Showalter. I took notes during the chat, therefore, this is rather sloppy and I’d like to share my notes with you. I also shared this with my book group.

Please double check all info since I was typing at the same time as listening. :-)

    =====================================================
Just got done with the LIVE CHAT with GENA SHOWALTER!!! If you did not attend, hopefully you read the HUGE ANNOUNCEMENTS here FIRST!!!!!!

    *****LOTU SPOILERS*******

Harlequin live chat with GENA SHOWALTER 10/13/11
    Notes – by Lea Salazar

**The Darkest Surrender – book 8. Strider – warped sense of humor, naught, irresistible, lovable, egotistical, willing to die for his friends. Kaia Skyhawke – strong, cocky, corky, fun-loving, party girl, vulnerable, wants to be loved for who she is.

**Harpy culture: original hellraisers in her opinion, party-girls, protect each other and their loved ones.

**Strider learns that Kaia feeds him a steady diet of victory.

**She talks about Strider being Kaia’s consort at the Harpy games.

**Lessons for Kaia & Strider: put their trust in someone doesn’t mean their ruination. They are stronger as a team than individually.

**Paris is next. Searching for Sienna. He’s closer to finding her. He will discover other immortals like himself…therefore more LORDS. Ashlyn will have her babies. More of the Angels!!!

**Woman is added to the cover of The Darkest Seduction for the first time. Different design. Paris can only sleep with Sienna more than once. Sienna Blackstone is possessed by Wrath, therefore, she is a Lord of the Underworld, hence this is why she’s on the cover.

**Characters shape themselves as she writes them and as the reader learns about them.

**She usually writes by the seat of her pants, but for Paris’ story it took her 4 tries to write the first 100 pages. That was her first taste of re-writing.

**She’s never taken a writing class.

**Sometimes characters get jumbled, edits and cuts are made, but for the most part, it’s like she’s at a Christmas party with them…like family.

**She finished writing the first spin off…big announcement about the hero soon (info below)!

**Working on top secret project which she can’t divulge yet.

**LOTU book after Paris is on the back burner since she’s writing a lot of other books including the spin off edits, etc.

**If the Lords were to have a Halloween party, they are dressed up as women.

**SPIN OFF series name: Angels of the Dark, Book 1 is Wicked Night (this could be Wicked Nights…could hear it clearly), hero is Zacharel (angel in LOTU). Tidbits of the blurb: Zacharel is the leader of powerful army in Heaven. Annabelle a human tempts him, she is accused of a crime she didn’t commit. HEA is in an institution for criminally insane.

**Ashlyn’s babies!! Boy: Irvin, Girl: Ever, but these are not the names that everyone ends up calling them. She will keep this a secret.

This is great, Lea! There are tons of tidbits in there. I am especially stoked to hear some details about the elusive spin-off series. I was hoping Zacharel would be the hero, so you made my day with that one. Thanks for thinking of adding the info here – I appreciate you taking the time. I usually miss these things, but love finding out the dirt.

  23. Lea October 13, 2011 at 9:32 pm #

You’re very welcome!! You work hard to give us the latest book updates so I love contributing on here any way I can (when I’m not busy with mommy duties. LOL!!).

Oh yes, I agree…I love knowing all the juicy details/dirt!!

So excited that it’s Zacharel! I’ve noticed there are more and more angel series coming out by various authors.

More to add on Mt. TBR!!! ;-)

    • kaleigha October 13, 2011 at 9:58 pm #

Definitely more for the mountain. I already have my little banner ready for the top of the Angels page on the Showalter section. Now, if we could just get some Kresley Cole info, things would fall into place nicely.

  24. Amber Hughes October 19, 2011 at 5:54 pm #

Hi K! I wasn’t sure if you knew about this one:

“True Colors” Elder Races #3.5 (ebook novella only) Dec. 13th release date. And…she just posted the cover today on Goodreads! :-)

    http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12830750-true-colors

I have no idea who it’s about! LOL! :-)

    • kaleigha October 20, 2011 at 12:35 am #

Thanks, Amber. I didn’t see the cover at all. I will grab it to add to her page. Much appreciated.

  25. Lea October 19, 2011 at 8:30 pm #

    Awesome, Amber!!! TY!!!

I asked Thea who the main chars are and here is her reply on FB:

The MCs: Gideon Riehl is literally just a name mentioned in STORM’S HEART. He’s the hero. The heroine is Alice, someone you haven’t met yet. :) You will be able to buy this from AMZN (Kindle), B&N (Nook), and direct from Samhain at:

    http://store.samhainpublishing.com/true-colors-p-6565.html

    • Amber Hughes October 19, 2011 at 8:37 pm #

Ok cool Lea! Thanks for writing to Thea! :-)

    • kaleigha October 20, 2011 at 12:39 am #

Well, crap. Time to get to the character guide and get Storm’s Heart added, since I don’t remember that name at all. Thanks, Lea.

      • Lea October 20, 2011 at 8:44 am #

K, I don’t remember that name either…so I just now looked it up since I have Storm’s Heart as an ebook. searched for “Gideon”. Nothing came up. Searched for “riehl” and he’s mentioned in chapter 1 very briefly by Tiago. Tiago suggested to Rune that Riehl and Jamar cover for him while he goes after Tricks. Apparently Riehl (and Jamar) is one of the troops under Dragos/Rune. No wonder we don’t remember him. His first name was never mentioned and he’s only in one sentence. No description of him. Well soon find out more about him. :-)

Amber, thanks again for the heads up…

      • kaleigha October 20, 2011 at 7:03 pm #

Looks like there is some action for me to catch up on. Thanks for checking that out, since I had no clue, either.

Well, dazzled might have been a bit too strong. More like “Oh. Um. Huh”.

  33. Lynn October 29, 2011 at 7:30 pm #

    Hey K,

I love your site especially charaters guides — very helpful when reading series books, but I have a question/request/just wondering thought. With so many books in a series its easy to forget plots and I know that lots of people like myself who do re-read books but have several other books and series that they are reading. I find myself forgeting facts and details. Christine Feehan Dark Series is a prime example. 22 Books. Its easy to forget some of the books plots.

I am starting to do plot summaries on my books as I read them. I will always go back and read books, however, with back to back release, my TBR pile always growing, its nice to get a quick “reminder” of the previous book. Now I do try to time my books and re-read the previous book before the next one comes out, there are times when I can’t or need to quick refresh on the whole series.

I’ve used amazon customer reviews as a way to refresh, but find those lacking at times. Key points, facts or intro of new characters are left out.

Anyways, Love what you do. Has been very helpful and has gotten me on some authors.

    • kaleigha October 29, 2011 at 9:39 pm #

Hi Lynn, and thanks. Glad you get some use out of the character guides. I know what you mean about getting the storylines of some of the books mixed up a bit – I find the best way to keep track is to read over the reviews on Goodreads. A lot of them do a plot summaries that can really help.

  34. Lynn October 29, 2011 at 10:18 pm #

    Thanks!!!!

    • kaleigha October 29, 2011 at 11:33 pm #

      No problem…hope it helps.

  35. Amber Hughes October 31, 2011 at 7:09 pm #

Did you see the Lothaire tidbits Kresley shared on her FB page? Should I post it here if you haven’t?

    • kaleigha October 31, 2011 at 7:21 pm #

Hey Amber…Yep, I did see them, thanks, and I thought I might add some Cole news here. I feel asleep before I got the chance, but might add it now. I have some “news”, too..

  36. terryspear November 13, 2011 at 11:28 am #

Hi, Kaleigha! Thanks so much for including my series! Dreaming of the Wolf will be on blog tour for the month of December with lots of free books from my publisher! The same thing for A SEAL in Wolf’s Clothing in March if anyone wants to catch the wolf fever!

    Happy Holidays!

    • kaleigha November 13, 2011 at 9:44 pm #

Thanks very much for taking the time to comment. I appreciate the fact that you are so good about keeping your readers updated through your site – it is very helpful. Thanks again.

  37. Lydia November 17, 2011 at 12:37 pm #

Hey, I just received a message from Amazon regarding the release of The Winter King; it’s been put off until November 2013. Is it just me or is everyone else upset at how Ms. Wilson writes. If it wasn’t for the fact that I have to know Galen’s story, I’d drop her from my list of favorite authors. Sorry, just venting.

    • kaleigha November 17, 2011 at 8:28 pm #

Nope, you are not alone. I know that the author wants to put out the best work possible, but with Ms Wilson it is a constant thing with every book. I actually got so out of the flow I haven’t even read the last two books of the tairen soul series yet. She seems like a very nice lady, but it has to be hurting her reputation with the readers.

  38. Dawn November 27, 2011 at 2:02 pm #

I love this site! I haven’t found anything from Jill Myles (The Succubus Diaries). She is a great author.

    • kaleigha November 27, 2011 at 9:44 pm #

Hi Dawn, and thanks. Now that you mention it, I don’t think I have come across much from Jill Myles. I must dig around and see what I can find. Thanks.

      • Dawn November 27, 2011 at 11:21 pm #

I found one of her books in the Kindle Store in the free book section and it sounded interesting so I downloaded it. Apparently that’s how they get you, cause after I read the free one I couldn’t help myself I had to go back and buy the rest of them!

      • kaleigha November 27, 2011 at 11:37 pm #

Ha! Works every time. I haven’t actually tried any of the free ones, but sounds like fun.

  39. Dawn November 27, 2011 at 2:20 pm #

kaleigha :We can hope that it will get a redo, or like you say even just a few tweaks. I liked the colors, but the cover dude looked all emo and skinny – not my version of Tohr, at all.

I was reading about Reborn in Good Reads. They keep saying that Thor will end up with No’one (Xhex’s mom). I don’t remember her in any other book. Is she someone that only appears in The Insiders Guide? Or is there a novella or short story that I have missed?

    • kaleigha November 27, 2011 at 9:50 pm #

No’one has been in a couple of books in a very limited role. She would make brief appearances on the other side with Payne and Layla and the Scribe Virgin, but her first “major” appearance wasn’t actually until Lover Unleashed. Most of the books before that if you blinked you would have missed her.

  40. Dawn November 27, 2011 at 11:17 pm #

I am actually rereading the series now so I will have to pay more attention to her. Thanks for the comment. I just found your site today and so far I am loving it!

    • kaleigha November 27, 2011 at 11:35 pm #

      No problem Dawn, and thanks!

  41. Lea December 15, 2011 at 11:07 am #

K, good morning! Here’s another tidbit, just in case you haven’t read it already….

    From Kim Harrison’s FB page:

“Ta-da! The Hollows book after A PERFECT BLOOD, will be titled EVER AFTER, a play on the Eastwood movie, HEREAFTER. :-)

Change of subject…..Have you read Immortal Rider, yet? :-)

    • kaleigha December 15, 2011 at 10:46 pm #

Hey Amber – thanks for the heads up…I was wondering if the Hollows was ending, since I couldn’t find any info on upcoming titles. Seems like there are a lot of series calling it a day next year, and I thought it might be one.

I am over half way done Immortal Rider, and loving it so far. Can’t wait for Thanatos and his story – he pretty much overshadowed Limos and Arik for my attention. How about you?

      • Amber Hughes December 15, 2011 at 10:59 pm #

It was Lea who posted the info! LOL! But it was great new for me to hear about the next book!

I just finished Immortal Rider a few days ago and I loved it! Sooooo good. I can’t wait for T’s story. I wish June would come faster! Lol :-)

      • kaleigha December 16, 2011 at 1:13 am #

I was a bit confused, though, since there is rumored to be five books in the Lords of Deliverance. I know that Resteph must be redeemed and get his story, but I wonder about the fifth hero. Maybe Reaver?

    • kaleigha December 16, 2011 at 1:33 am #

Duh, sorry Lea. I answered in my email thingy, and got mixed up…sooo annoying. Thanks for the info, though. Going to add that puppy to the series lists. I am starting to get the hang of keeping it updated so far, so appreciate the help!

  42. Lea December 16, 2011 at 1:49 am #

    Lol…no prob, K.

In an interview with Under the Covers, Larissa talks about Reaver here and him having his own book:

    http://underthecoversbookblog.blogspot.com/2011/12/interview-and-giveaway-with-larissa.html

    • kaleigha December 16, 2011 at 2:02 am #

Thanks, Amber (just kidding). That was a great link – must dig through that blog and see what I can find for new info. I am glad Reaver is getting his own story – cause right now, in Immortal Rider, I am just at the spot where he is in a crap-load of trouble. Not looking good for Reav.

  43. Amber Hughes December 20, 2011 at 1:39 am #

Hi K! Virna DePaul just posted a “Tweet” about “Chosen by Sin (Para-ops #3). It’s available now for an early e-book release (this is a first I’ve seen an ebook come out before the PB version)

It says in the description that the PB version will be available on January 1st (a Sunday release??), but I don’t see a link up for it yet. I sent her a tweet to see if she knows when that link will be available. I will let you know when I hear back from her :-)

    • kaleigha December 20, 2011 at 1:48 am #

Thanks, Amber. I was wondering when I was doing the updating a couple of days ago what exactly was up with that one. Will check things out, too.

  44. Dawn January 17, 2012 at 11:12 am #

I found a new author on amazon – Laurie Bowler. She has a series called Moon Rising that has been given 4 stars. I am having alot of trouble finding out the reading order and exactly which of her books are in the series. Have you ever heard of her? One of the comments left on amazon said that you have to read the books in order to understand the story. I am getting sooo frustrated.

  45. Dawn January 17, 2012 at 4:12 pm #

Thank you so much. I looked everywhere and couldn’t find it. Love your site. I keep finding new authors on here to get. I just gave my husband a new 2012 list of books. He’s terrible at gifts – No honey I don’t really want a breadmaker, but thanks – so now he gets a list of books every January.

    • kaleigha January 17, 2012 at 7:55 pm #

Hey Dawn – no problem. I am a strange one, since I love hunting stuff down (should have been an online private investigator!). When I first started the sight, I found it surprisingly hard to find a complete reading list for a lot of authors – especially the bigger name ones. There is nothing worse than not knowing what to read next, or finding out that you missed one in the middle. It was why I decided to to a whole section on the reading lists.

Good idea on the hubby and book list, too. Saves that whole “er, you REALLY shouldn’t have” conversations. Nice.

  46. renpuspita January 18, 2012 at 9:14 am #

    Hey K!
Sorry if take me so long to tell about this, but Immortal Rider book had arrived. I’d read it and its fantastic. Thank you!!

    • kaleigha January 18, 2012 at 12:53 pm #

Hey ren…glad you liked it. I thought it was a good one, too, but I found myself more interested in Than’s story than anything else!

  47. Sandy January 21, 2012 at 5:33 pm #

Just wanted to drop a line and tell you thanks for all the hard work on the site! I do believe that you enjoy all the work that goes into it and I certainly appreciate it! Gracias for the add on Goodreads also!

    Sandy

    • kaleigha January 21, 2012 at 6:14 pm #

Thanks, Sandy! It is fun – and glad you get some use out of it.

  48. Amber Hughes February 2, 2012 at 12:47 am #

      Ohh, Nice one. Thanks again!

  49. Jemma Hagerman February 11, 2012 at 11:22 am #

New cover for Thea Harrison’s “Natural Evil”. View it on her blog. Out March 20..this is a short story.

    • kaleigha February 11, 2012 at 1:23 pm #

      Thanks Jemma – much appreciated.

  50. Jemma February 16, 2012 at 11:05 am #

OOOOOOOOOOO! The excerpt for G A Aikens Dragon #6 is in her latest newsletter and it’s Izzy’ book!!

    • kaleigha February 16, 2012 at 9:43 pm #

Nice one…and if anyone can Drive a Dragon Crazy, it would definitely be Izzy.

      • Pallavi February 26, 2012 at 11:29 am #

Oooh, I’m so eagerly waiting for this one. It’s Aiken’s big one – been building since book 2…

      • kaleigha February 26, 2012 at 10:57 pm #

Yep, a definite must, for sure. I still love Big Blue, even if he can be a bit of a tool, sometimes.

  51. Pauline Ray February 17, 2012 at 9:07 pm #

Hi there! I love your blog – thank you for gathering so much info together in one place!!

My new book, Emancipation: A Civil War Vampire Novel, has just been released. I think it’s a little darker than your usual fare, but I thought I’d point you at it just in case it caught your eye.

Thank you for what you do!

    • kaleigha February 17, 2012 at 10:33 pm #

Thanks, Pauline. I will head over and check it out. Good luck!

  52. Lea February 22, 2012 at 2:47 pm #

Hey K, forgive me if you know this already, but just in case….

A book group member informed me that Rapture, book 4 of Ward’s Fallen Angels, will be in hardcover. Releasing Sept. 25th.

    • kaleigha February 22, 2012 at 5:05 pm #

Hey Lea…I only stumbled across that a couple of days ago, and I have to admit it surprised me. The mid-series switch to hardcover is a bit annoying, I find. Thanks for the shout out.
