Are any of these something you are looking forward to? Every time I see a Jane Yellowrock cover, I kick myself for not starting the series yet.

Cover Lover – 12 New Titles

Well, looks like a few new covers to add to the pile. Some of these have been out for a while, but I just discovered them myself during my last updating thingy.

Starting with the adult titles, it looks like Elizabeth Hunter is starting a new series this month called The Irin Chronicles. The Scribe will be released on October 15th.

the scribeSteal the Day is a new one coming from Lexi Blake‘s Thieves series, which will be released on October 22nd.

steal the dayHm. My first reaction to this next one was “Pretty. But what the hell is he wearing?!? And…is that a squid tattoo?” Eternal Echoes is part of Anastasia Virgas‘s Sisters of the Divine series, and it was released on October 7th.

eternal echoesDemon Creed, the third book from Paula Altenburg‘s Demon Outlaws series, will be released next May 27th.

the demon creedI had pegged Stephanie Tyler‘s new Defiance series as adult, but I am starting to see it listed as the dreaded “New Adult” here and there. So, that means I have no clue. Either way, Redemption will be out on November 18th.

redemptionThese next few are all Young Adult. I thought the cover for Endless by Amanda Gray was pretty. It was released on October 8th.

endlessI have seen good reviews for Reboot by Amy Tintera, and now the cover for the second book has been revealed. Rebel will be out on May 6th.

New Series Alerts…

So, I survived my marathon work weekend, ready to return and start a’ postin’. First up, the Monday New Series Alert post. Yep, all ready to dive in. And…there is one. New series, that is. Looks like I won’t be overdoing things.

Like I said, there is one new series starting up this week, and it comes from the land of Young Adult. Eve Silver‘s Rush is the first book of her new series called The Game.

rushSynopsis…

So what’s the game now? This, or the life I used to know?

When Miki Jones is pulled from her life, pulled through time and space into some kind of game—her carefully controlled life spirals into chaos. In the game, she and a team of other teens are sent on missions to eliminate the Drau, terrifying and beautiful alien creatures. There are no practice runs, no training, and no way out. Miki has only the guidance of secretive but maddeningly attractive team leader Jackson Tate, who says the game isn’t really a game, that what Miki and her new teammates do now determines their survival, and the survival of every other person on this planet. She laughs. He doesn’t. And then the game takes a deadly and terrifying turn.

I really liked the cover for this one, but I think I am going to do a wait-and-see on it. I did just finally splurge and order three other YA books that I have had my eye on for a while, so I don’t want to push my luck.

Cover Lover – 4 Newish Titles

Man, there hasn’t been much of anything going on in the PNR cyberworld for the last week or so, unless I have been living under a rock or something.  I think these have been around for a week or so, but I am just getting to them now.  The first one is Death Magic, from Eileen Wilks.  It is the 8th book in her World of the Lupi series, due out on November 1st.

The second one is from Eve Silver, the fourth book from her Otherkin series.  Body of Sin is an August 23rd release.

Number three is from Anita ClenneyEmbrace the Highland Warrior is the second book from her Connor Clan series, due out on November 1st.

This is one from the YA world.  Charmfall, the next book from Chloe Neill‘s Dark Elite series, should be available early next year.

Spotlight on…Eve Silver

This upcoming series from Eve Silver caught my eye a while back, but I was waiting for the art and info for all of the books before I did a spotlight.  The Otherkin series, coming this fall, begins with an e-book prequel called Sin’s Daughter.  After that, we get consecutive releases in August, September and October.

First up is Sins of the Heart on August 1st.

Half-human, half-god, Dagan Krayl is the Underworld’s most powerful soul reaper. When one of his brothers is murdered, Dagan must use every ounce of his power to hunt down those responsible for his brutal death.  But he must move swiftly—and carefully—if he’s to have any chance of resurrecting his brother.

Yet that resurrection could wreak havoc on the mortal world. As an Otherkin, Roxy Tam has sworn to protect the human race and it’s her mission to stop Dagan. But when she sees him face to face, she realizes that she has seen him once before—a meeting that changed her life forever.

Neither Dagan nor Roxy expect to join forces for the sake of mankind.  Or have their loyalties tested as they struggle against the potent desire that threatens to consume them both….

That is followed by Sins of the Soul on September 1st.

Alastor Krayl’s world shattered when he learned that his father was the Underworld god of chaos and evil.  All that saved him from self-destruction were his newfound brothers and the bond they shared as soul reapers.  So when one of his brothers is murdered, vengeance becomes Alastor’s obsession. And the enigmatic Naphré Kurata, a witness—or is she the killer?—has the answers he seeks.

A reluctant Underworld enforcer, Naphré trusts no one, especially not a seductive soul reaper who makes her burn with lust. Torn between duty and desire, she fights to keep her secrets safe from Alastor, even as she longs to surrender.

And finally Sins of the Flesh on October 1st.

Torn between lust and loyalty…

The blood of the Underworld lord of evil runs through soul reaper Malthus Krayl’s veins.  Raised to fight for survival and to kill for victory, he can destroy anyone who poses a threat.  As he searches for the one responsible for his brother’s murder, he refuses to succumb to any distraction… until his sworn enemy crosses his path and tempts him beyond all reason.

Calliope Kane, a Daughter of Aset, has a personal hatred for soul reapers.  Their savage attack against her family still haunts her.  But only Malthus can help her find the traitors of her kind, and only she can help him hunt the source of betrayal amongst the reapers.  As they unite, the danger grows closer…and the passion between them ignites…

New Series Alert…Otherkin

Eve Silver has a three book deal with Harlequin, a trilogy called the Otherkin.  There are a few details starting to come out about the first book, August 1st’s Sins of the Heart.  Forgive the somewhat crap cover pic…I will replace it as soon as I find one larger than a postage stamp…

From the back cover…

As the son of Sutekh, the lord of evil, Dagan Krayle is one of the most powerful soul reapers. Dagan intends to use every ounce of his power to find his brother’s remains and punish those responsible for his brutal death. But he must move swiftly-and carefully-if he is to have any chance of bringing his brother back to this world, because his enemy is on the hunt.

Otherkin Roxy Tam will stop at nothing to keep the soul reapers from resurrecting Dagan’s brother. To allow Sutekh access to his remains would wreak havoc and destruction on the mortal world…and would be her unforgivable failure.

Neither Dagan nor Roxy expect to join forces for the sake of mankind. Or have their loyalties tested as they struggle against the potent desire that threatens to consume them both….

This one will be followed by September’s Sins of the Soul and finally October’s Sins of the Flesh.
