Cover Lover – 5 New Titles

This is definitely a mixed bag Cover Lover post, with two adult and three young adult titles. Let’s mix things up and start with the young adult covers for a change. Crown of Midnight from Sarah J. Maas is the second full book in the Throne of Glass series, and it is due out on August 27th. I like this design change, since the first book was pretty but quite standard YA fare. Nice.

Now this is interesting. Cassandra Clare is releasing (along with a couple of other authors) a series of e-novellas that will then be gathered and released in print format later on in the year. The series itself is called The Bane Chronicles features Magnus Bane, and the first story (What Really Happened in Peru) will be released on April 16th. I am not sure if this cover will also be used for the eventual print edition of the stories, but I do think it would make a great one.

And this third YA cover is for Diana Peterfreud‘s Across a Star-Swept Sea, the second book in her For Darkness Shows the Stars series, which is due out on October 15th.

I usually think of Melissa de la Cruz as a YA author, but Winds of Salem is actually from her adult Witches of East End series. This one is due out on August 13th.

And finally, this one is from the Anna Strong series from Jeanne C. Stein. Blood Bond is due out on August 27th.

Random Updates…

Wow, hard to believe, but this is actually post number 1001.  Way back on August 11th, 2009 I started with a Cover Lover post that featured Nalini Singh‘s Archangel’s Kiss.  I think I checked every five minutes for the next few days to see if anyone had actually viewed it…such a nerd.  So, forward a few years, and things haven’t really changed.  Things have expanded a bit, and the look has changed a few times, but other than that things are pretty much still the same (and I am still a nerd).

On the site side of things, I have updated all of the Series Reading List pages, so all of the book lists are as up-to-date as I could get them.  I took the opportunity to finally work on the long neglected Completed Series List page, as well.  There are some that I think are finished that I didn’t add, since I couldn’t find official word that they were in fact over.  I will be keeping an eye on them, but if you see any that I missed feel free to give me a shout.  Also, WordPress decided to play with the way that the code for linking to a specific spot on a page was worded, which meant that all of those “Blah Blah reading list HERE” links no longer worked.  I do believe that I got that dealt with as well (each one had to be redone individually, so I hope I didn’t miss any).

On the Character Guide front, I added one a couple weeks back for Kresley Cole‘s Arcana Chronicles (speaking of which, it looks like book two, Endless Knight, will not be out until next October).  I also got Thea Harrison‘s Elder Races guide up to date and added the info for Lord’s Fall, and I am almost done the rough copy for the last two Darynda Jones Charley Davidson books.  That one should be FINALLY updated by the middle of this week.  That just leaves me Archangel’s Storm and a Mythos Academy book to get caught up.  Yay.

There are a few newbies to add to the New Release pages, as well…

• It looks like Linda Poitevin will release another Grigori Legacy book in 2013, this one called Sins of the Righteous.
• Also due next year is the third book in Adrian Phoenix‘s Hoodoo series, Black Moon Mojo.
• The second book in Jamie Quaid‘s new Saturn’s Daughter series, Damn Him to Hell, will be released on June 25th.
• There will be another Anna Strong book from Jeanne C. Stein coming out on August 27th.  Right now, the title is TBA.
• Awaken the Damned is the title of the third League of Guardians book from Juliana Stone, and it will be released on June 25th.
• Alpha Pack book number four from J.D. Tyler, Hunter’s Heart, will be released on September 3rd.
• You will be able to get a new Kitty Norville book from Carrie Vaughn on July 30th.  This new one will be called Kitty in the Underworld.
• Looks like there is also another Lupi book from Eileen Wilks in the works, as well.  Ritual Magic, Lupi #10, will be out next on August 6th.
• Eternal Sin is the title of the 6th Mark of the Vampire book from Laura Wright.  Look for it next November.

Cover Lover – 11 New Titles

My recent updating led to a few new covers.  Blaze, the second book in the Phoenix Rising series from Joan Swan, will be released on September 25th.

The cover came out last week for the next Anna Strong book from Jeanne C. Stein, called Hunted.  This one should be out on August 28th.

Where There’s A Will, the next one from Karen Kelley, will be released on September 1st.

This next one is from author Tawny Taylor.  Darkest Desire is due out August 28th.

I saw this one over at Goodreads.  Heaven, the third book from Alexandra Adornetto‘s Halo series, is due out on August 21st.

Love on the Run, the fourth bo0k in Katharine Kerr‘s Nola O’Grady series, is due out on August 7th.

The cover for the next book in the Moon Shifter series from Katie Reus, Primal Possession, is now out.  This one is due out on September 4th.

Terry Spear is starting up a new series featuring Jaguar Shifters.  The first book, Savage Hunger, will be out on October 1st.

These last three are all from the same author.  Saranna DeWylde will be releasing three titles between this year and next year in her 10 Days series.  The first one is called How to Lose a Demon in 10 Days, and it should be out on August 28th.

The second book, How to Marry a Warlock in 10 Days, will be out on September 25th.

And they will be followed by How to Seduce an Angel in 10 Days early in 2013.

Cover Lover – 2 New Titles

Just two to post while running on my way to work, both courtesy of All Things Urban Fantasy.  The first one is the cover from the August 30th release from Jeanne C. Stein, Crossroads.

 

The second is from a new series starting up from author Sylvia Day.  A Touch of Crimson is the first book in her Renegade Angels series, being released on October 4th.

Wow, I found a crap-load of new info today…

• August 1st is the release date for Kathryne Kennedy‘s next, called The Lady of the Storm.
• Stephanie Rowe will debut her next paranormal novel on July 1st, 2011, called Touch if you Dare.
• The next book in Cheryl Brook’s Cat Star Chronicles is called Virgin, and has a release date of June 1st.
• Warcry is the fouth book in Elizabeth Vaughan‘s Chronicles of the Warlands series, due out on May 3rd.
• Devyn Quinn appears to be starting a new series next August with Darkness Descending, a Vampire Armageddon novel.
• Scarlet Vengeance is the title of the next paranormal from Christina Dodd, due out August 2nd.
• A new one from Patricia Coughlin should be available next August, called Wedding Magic.
• There isn’t much info yet on Jacquelyn Frank‘s newest series, called Three Worlds, but book two will be called Seduce Me in Flames, and should be out next July 26th.
• Book two of Yasmine Galenorn‘s Indigo Court series now has a release date.  Night Veil should be out next July 5th.
• Vampire Instinct is the next book in Joey W. Hill‘s Vampire Queen series, and should be available next July 5th.
• July 1st will see another Lydia Dare historical paranormal, this one called In the Heat of the Bite.
• Everdark, book two of Elle Jasper‘s Dark Ink Chronicles, is expected to hit the shelves on June 7th.
• Looks like another Children of the Sea book from Virginia Kantra.  Forgotten Sea is due out on June 7th.
• Sharon Ashwood‘s The Dark Forgotten series continues next June, with the release of Frostbound.
• From Shiloh Walker, next June 7th, is Hunter’s Fall.  It is from her Hunters series.
• Also on June 7th, we can look forward to both Allyson James‘s Shadow Walker, and Jessica Andersen‘s Storm Kissed.
• Vampire in Atlantis, the next title in the Warriors of Poseidon series from Alyssa Day, now has an official release date of June 7th.
• June 1st will be the date for Heart of the Highland Wolf, the latest from Terry Spear.
• The links are up for Kiss of Snow, Hawke’s story in the Psy/Changeling series from Nalini Singh.  Coming out in hardcover, it is scheduled for May 31st.
• A new one from Lynn Kurland is due out on May 3rd, this one called One Magic Moment.
• The third book in the Sons of the Zodiac series from Addison Fox is called Warrior Betrayed, and should be available on May 3rd.
• Hexed, the anthology from Ilona Andrews, Yasmine Galenorn, Allyson James and Jeanne C. Stein, should be out on June 7th.

Cover Lover – Hexed

Over on Allyson James‘s site, she has a cover up for the anthology Hexed.  She is featured along with Ilona Andrews, Yasmine Galenorn, and Jeanne C. Stein.  From what I understand, it has a release date sometime next summer.

Cover Lover – Chosen

August 31st is the release date for the next book in the Anna Strong series by Jeanne C. Stein.  I didn’t find the synopsis, but I did come across the cover for it.  It is titled Chosen.
