Well, looks like there are five new e-books coming sometime this week, both adult and young adult. July 1st is the release date for the two Nocturn Cravings titles, the first of which is Threshold of Pleasure from author Vivi Anna.
Since her short career came to a dramatic end, former cop Eden Swain has been haunted by guilt and disturbing dreams. When she gets a call from a woman she knows is dead, it nearly sends her over the edge.
Eden’s search for answers leads her to a portal—and she steps through to the world between the worlds. A decadent world where anything and everything is possible. There, she is torn between her desire for two men—one a darkly sexy vampire who promises to take away her pain forever. The other, a gorgeous wolf shifter determined to save her soul…
The second Nocture Craving title is Mated by Moonlight from Jessa Slade.
As the latest in a long line of female Alphas, Merrilee Delemont lives by the code be strong always. While she will never forsake her duty to her pack, she sometimes longs for a mate to share her life with. At least she’s found someone to share her bed: Beck Villanova, leader of the neighboring wolf pack.
Their red-hot attraction and struggle for dominance leads to wild sex, but any chance of a real relationship goes up in smoke. Until phae invaders threaten the peace of their remote valley, forcing Merrille and Beck to finally decide which is more important: vying for power, or a passionate partnership that could change their lives forever.
I was surprised to see that Thea Harrison is putting out another Elder Races novella, since I thought that her set of four about the Tarot deck that wrapped up earlier this year was the last of them, but it looks like July 2nd is the release date for The Wicked.
For a librarian with a focus on rare magic books, Olivia’s new job is a dream come true. She has been hired as part of a team to help manage the safe transportation of the collection of books owned by the Vampyre sorceress Carling Severan. The fact that the library is located on a mysterious island in an Other land only heightens the adventure.
Head of security for the expedition, Sebastian Hale is tired of his rootless life of adventure and finds himself attracted to the calm, beautiful librarian. But he is living a personal nightmare. He has been hit with a curse that is slowly taking away his sight, and he doesn’t know if he will survive the results.
But the powerful feelings growing between them, along with Sebastian’s inner turmoil, take a backseat when they learn there is a traitor lurking among their expedition team. With Elder Races politics and a priceless library on the line, they’ll have to rely on each other to survive the experience.
This one will be re-released this coming January in print format, but you can pick up Forgotten Sins from Rebecca Zanetti on Tuesday in e-format.
Josie and Shane’s marriage only lasted a few months before he disappeared on a mysterious military assignment, leaving her heart in shreds. Josie’s tough, though, and she picked up the pieces, building a new life around her high-powered number-crunching job.
When Shane turns up at the local hospital two years later with a concussion and amnesia, Josie agrees to take him home but only long enough for him to sign divorce papers. But they’re barely in the door when their old passion explodes.
Shane can’t remember why he left the beautiful blue-eyed angel glaring at him, but he knows it was to protect her. Every one of his strangely powerful senses tells him she is in danger. Shane knows he can’t be normal. Hearing the heartbeat of people in the next room isn’t normal. The only question is–is he the good guy or the bad?
And this final one is a YA release. The Dark Discovery of Jack Dandy is part of Kady Cross‘s Steampunk Chronicles, and it is due out on the 1st.
Jack Dandy didn’t become prince of the London underworld at barely twenty-one by being softhearted, even if a certain girl in a steel corset has wormed her way into his affections of late. He knows how to manipulate, charm and rob people blind. And if his criminal activities embarrass his aristocratic father, so much the better.
So when a friend of Jack’s father hires him for an underhanded job, Jack is happy to oblige—for an outrageous fee, of course. Delivering a mysterious crate seems like an easy task—until Jack realizes just what is inside…
I will probably be checking out Thea Harrison’s novella since I need to add it to the Elder Races Character Guide. Anything here you are planning on grabbing this week?
