I got so involved in the Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole spin-off info, I forgot to do the New Series Alert post. Duh. There are a several getting their starts this week, like the Lords of Pleasure series from Jo Carlisle. The first book is called Temptation at Twilight.
Blurb…
Vampire brothers Aldric, Soren, and Luc Fontaine own and run La Petite Mort, an adult fantasy resort for the adventurous of heart-and body. Humans, shifters, Fae, and other beings gather to enjoy two weeks of fantasies-come-true at the New Orleans estate. The brothers themselves have experienced everything life, and death, have to offer…except finding their true mates.
Soren makes a bargain with a Voodoo Priestess, binding him to her forever in exchange for the return of the wife he lost a hundred years ago. He is soon convinced that one of the new guests is his wife reincarnated, and an intense sexual attraction turns to a true emotional bond…but all could be lost when the Priestess comes to collect.
This one will be followed by an as-yet untitled book two next August.
Lauren Dane‘s Heart of Magic comes out this week, and it is the first book in her Bound By Magick series.
Blurb…
Meriel Owen, next in line to control the largest organization of witches in the country, is asked to investigate the owner of a notorious club reportedly siphoning magic from the font of the Clan. It’s a direct violation of the Clan Code of Conduct, but one look at Dominic Bright and Meriel’s willing to make a deal. One taste of the sexually feral outlaw witch, and she’s eager to go further: he’s her bond mate, a legal conduit into the world of Clan witches and their magic.
Playing by the rules isn’t Dominic’s style, but bonding with Meriel—night after explosive night—is. However, Meriel has unwittingly invited someone else into her world: Dominic’s mother, a dangerous and poisonously influential magic addict whose lust for death and power corrupts all she touches. Now her shadow is closing in on Meriel, her Clan, and the man Meriel loves, and it’s casting them all into the inescapable heart of darkness.
Book two will be called Chaos Burning.
The third new series is from Heather Killough-Walden. She jumps on the Angels bandwagon with the release of Avenger’s Angel. It starts off her Lost Angels series.
Blurb…
Four thousand years ago, four archangels were cast down to Earth in human form. God’s favourites, they came to find their mates, the other half of their souls made only for them, without whom they will never be complete. Uriel, Gabriel, Azrael and Michael, however, were not alone. They were followed by another, determined to find the archesses for himself, and whose power cannot be underestimated.
But after centuries of fruitless searching, the archangels — and their enemy — have all but given up hope. Until one day beautiful and gifted Eleanore Granger crosses paths with Uriel, the Angel of Vengeance. And as a storm rages, outside forces conspire together, initiating an age old battle of good versus evil to win the first archess.
There is an e-book prequel called Always, Angel. Book two will be Messenger’s Angel, due out next June.
And finally, Theresa Meyers debuts her Legend Chronicles series with the release of The Hunter. Looks like Steampunk Western, which is newish.

Colt Jackson has gotten his name on many a wanted poster with success in the family business: hunting supernaturals across the frontier. Lately, though, there’s a sulfur stink in the wind and the Darkin population is exploding. A rift in the worlds is appearing. To close it, Colt will have to do the unthinkable and work with a demon to pass arcane boundaries no human alone can cross.
Except when he summons his demon, he doesn’t get some horned monstrosity: he gets a curvy redheaded succubus named Lilly, who’s willing to make a bargain to become human again. He also gets Lilly’s secret expertise on the machinations on the dark side of the rift. And her charm and cleverness help to get them out of what his silver-loaded pistol and mechanical horse can’t. Of course, when all hell breaks loose, he might have to sacrifice his soul. But what’s adventure without a little risk?
Following on April 3rd will be book two, called The Slayer.
