Cover Lover – 7 New Titles

Seven noobies for this post (well, a couple have been around for a few days, but I waited until I had more to post).  Most of these came from Goodreads, and a couple from All Things Urban Fantasy – many thanks.  This first one is from Seanan McGuire and her InCryptid series.  Midnight Blue-Light Special is due out on March 5th.

This next one comes from Amanda Bonilla‘s Shaede Assassin series.  Crave the Darkness also has a release date of March 5th.

I have never gotten into the Queen Betsy series, but the covers are fun, at least.  MaryJanice Davidson‘s Undead and Unsure will be out the middle of next year.

Tessa Adams starts up a new series, Lone Star Witch, with the release of Soulbound on February 5th.

This one is a bit…disappointing, I guess.  It has potential, but looks like someone just sort of gave up and never finished it.  Betrayed by Shadows is showing as an e-book only release for Nancy Gideon, and it will be released on December 18th.

From the young adult isle, there are a couple of new ones, too.  Jessica Therrien‘s Uprising, part of her Children of the Gods series, will be released next spring.

And this final one is from Cynthia Hand.  It is the Australian cover for Boundless, part of the Unearthly series, and it is due out this coming January.  I usually wouldn’t include this one, but it was so pretty I just had to.  It is actually my favorite cover I have seen in a while, and I am having total cover envy for this one.

Cover Lover – 13 New Titles

Well, I was updating again, and found a lot of new or just new-to-me covers.  A lot of these came from Goodreads, so thanks again.  I was toying with the idea of starting a “cover of the month” thing, but finding a way to keep track of them might be a bit tricky.  I must think more about this one.  Anyways, here goes…

February 26th is the release date for Dualed, from Elsie Chapman.  It is the first book from the series of the same name, and it will be followed by Divided in February 2014.  This sounds interesting.

Next up is also young adult.  I must say, this one doesn’t quite do it for me, but then neither did the first cover for the first book in the series.  Shannon Dittemore‘s second Angel Eyes book, Broken Wings, is also due out next February.

Still on the YA, this one is from author Cynthia Hand Boundless is the third book from her Unearthly series, due out on January 22nd.

Coming this November is the second book from Alyson Noel‘s Soul Seekers series, Echo.

This one for me is a no.  NO.  Not a bit of cover love at all.  Hidden, from P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast, is due out on October 16th, 2012.

Not sure what is going on with all of the Young Adult covers this go round, but they continue.  Rise, the third book from Anna Carey‘s Eve series, is due out on April 2nd.

I actually thought this one was for one of the previous books in the series, they look so much alike.  The Rising is the third book from Kelley Armstrong‘s Darkness Rising series (or the sixth book of The Darkest Powers series).  Look for it on April 9th.

Last young adult cover.  This one is Everbound, the second book of Brodi Ashton‘s Everneath series, which is due out on January 22nd.

Over on her blog, Keri Arthur upped the first and fourth covers from her Nikki and Michael series, in the process of being re-released.  Book one is Dancing with the Devil

…and book four is Kiss the Night Goodbye.  No idea where two and three are, but I will keep an eye out for them.  I had a release date for the first book, but looks like it might have been pushed back.

MaryJanice Davidson‘s Queen Betsy series continues with the release of Undead and Underwater, due out on March 5th.

The third Kat Redding book from E.S. Moore will be called Blessed by a Demon’s Mark.  It will be released on December 31st.

And this final one is more of an upgrade than a debut.  A while back, I got my hands on a small version of the cover for Leopard’s Prey, the December Leopard series book from Christine Feehan.  This is the first full sized one I could get my hands on, so it will make a re-debut.

Cover Lover – 8 New Titles

Hm, not really sure what the big thing is with all of the new covers coming out the last few days, but I found a few more to throw on the pile.  The next Queen Betsy book from MaryJanice Davidson, Undead and Unstable, has a fun, funky cover.  This one is due out in hardcover on June 5th.

There is a second MaryJanice Davidson cover out, as well.  This one is called Dying for You, and it appears to be a collection of four short stories.  It is an August 7th release.

I didn’t realize that Kelley Armstrong was ending her Women of the Otherworld series.  Looks like number 13, titled Thirteen, will be the final story.  It will be released on July 24th.

I am not a big fan of Jean Johnson (I wanted to go through the page and kill the “heroine” of her Sons of Destiny series, Kelly), but the cover for The Shifter is not bad.  Not sure if this is connected to any previous books, but it is due out on May 1st.

Number five is from author Dakota Cassidy.  She returns to her Accidental series with the June 5th release of Accidentally Dead, Again.

Charlaine Harris‘ Sookie Stackhouse covers are…different.  I don’t actually like them, but they do stand out, and Deadlocked is no exception.  This one is coming out on May 1st.

The second book from Kylie Griffin‘s Light Blade series now has a cover.  Alliance Forged is due out next fall.

The last one is from Robin D. Owens.  She continues her Celta’s Heartmates series next fall with the release of Heart Secret.  I didn’t even hear about this one before, which means I am way behind.

Book News…

After I made the book news post below, I found a few more.  Never fails, does it?

  • I haven’t found much info out yet whether it is a new offering or a redo of one of the Fixed series, but Christine Warren will have a new one coming out on April 24th called On The Prowl.
  • The next Queen Betsy book from MaryJanice Davidson, Undead and Unstable, will be released on June 5th.
  • June 5th will see a new release from the Anita Blake series from Laurell K. Hamilton.  It is the 21st book of the series, but no word on the title at this point.  The preorder link is HERE
  • Anya Bast will have a new book coming out on May 1st called Embraced of the Damned.  It is the first book of a new series, called Brotherhood of the Damned.
  • The third book in Rebecca Zanetti‘s Dark Protectors series will be called Hunted.  Look for it on April 24th.
  • There will be another Lords of the Satyr book released next April 24th.  Sevin is the seventh book in the series from Elizabeth Amber.
  • and finally, Lynn Kurland will have a new book called All For You coming out at the end of next April.

Cover Lover – Some Big Ones!

That noise you hear is me screaming like a fan-girl.  I do so, so love finding “the big ones”, and a couple of these are whoppers.

What can I say?  I love Tohrment, so word that his book is up next from J.R. Ward made my day.  March 27th is the release date  for this one, Lover Reborn.  I will admit that the dude on the front doesn’t match my version of Tohr, but I will take what I can get.

Aaaand, squealing again.  Patricia Briggs writes one book a year, and Fair Game is up next.  The third book in the Alpha and Omega series is due out on February 7th.

MaryJanice Davidson will debut a new trilogy next February 7th with the release of Underwater Love.  No details yet on the following books.

Number four is from Nina Bangs and her Castle of Dark Dreams series.  Wicked Edge is a March 6th release.

Flashfire is part of Deborah Cooke‘s Dragonfire series, scheduled to be released on January 3rd.

And finally, the cover for the new Jory Strong book, Inked Magic, was released.  This one is a February 7th release.

Random Updates…

Soooo, every six months or so, I show just how dull my life is by going through the new release schedules, month by month, and plugging each and every author’s name into Amazon.com and Goodreads to see what they have coming out next.  Then, I check each author’s website and blog to see what is going on, too.  Then I update the “coming attractions” for each series.  I said life was dull, right?

Anyhow, I have made it through July 2011, and all of the reading lists for each title should be completely up to date, and all links added where available.  On my searches, I found some coming soon info on quite a few series…

  • Book 10 of The Hollows series from Kim Harrison will be called A Perfect Blood, and is scheduled for release on February 21st.
  • MaryJanice Davidson will be starting a Mermaid trilogy with the release of Underwater Love on February 7th.
  • January 3rd is the release date for the fourth book in Richelle Mead‘s Dark Swan series, called Shadow Heir.
  • according to Patricia Brigg‘s website, we will have to wait until the spring of 2013 for the next Mercy Thompson book, title as yet TBA.
  • Alien Diplomacy will be the title of the fifth Katherine Katt book from Gini Koch, and it should be available on April 3rd.
  • Devon Monk‘s 6th Allie Beckstrom book, Magic Without Mercy, will be an April 3rd release.
  • The third book in the new Debbie Mazzuca MacLeod series will be called King of the Isles.  Look for it in early January.
  • Book number six in the Chloe Neill Chicagoland Vampires series will be called Biting Cold, due out in September 2012.
  • All Things Wicked is the title for the third book in Karina Cooper‘s new Dark Mission series, and it is scheduled for release on January 24th.
  • The Argeneau Rogue Hunter series from Lynsay Sands is still going strong.  Number 16, Under a Vampire Moon, is due out on January 3rd.  This one is a hardcover release.
  • Siren will be the title of the third book from Kristina Douglas‘ Fallen series.  Release date TBA.
  • The very busy Allyson James will continue her Stormwalker series in 2012 with the release of the fourth book, Nightwalker.  No official release date available as yet.
  • Sweetblood, the new series from Laurie London, will continue next February with the release of the third book, called Tempted by Blood.
  • April 2012 is the release date for the second book from the Arcadia Bell series from Jenn Bennett.  It will be called Summoning the Night.
  • The big number 1-0 for the Kitty Vaughn series will be called Kitty Steals the Show.  No release date available as yet for the Carrie Vaughn book.
  • Summer 2012 is the general release date for the third book in Stephanie Julian‘s Forgotten Goddesses series.  Looks like Goddess in the Middle is literally that, since it lists three main characters.
  • Queen Betsy continues.  Number 11 in the MaryJanice Davidson series will be called Undead and Unstable, and should be out early next year.
  • There is a bit of a wait for the next Indigo Court book from Yasmine GalenornNight Seeker, book three, is scheduled for release next June.
  • For the Dreg City followers, the fourth book in the Kelly Meding series will be called Wrong Side of Dead, and should be out on January 31st.
  • and finally, Dianne Sylvan will release her third Shadow World book, Shadow’s Fall, next March 27th.

Cover Lover – 17 New Titles

It is that Christmas come early time for me again, since I scored quite a few new covers today.  I love finding a load of covers, and my inner book-nerd is in Heaven.  I also found Archangel’s Blade and Envy from J.R. Ward, but the watermarks made me feel too guilty to post them so I removed both.  Sorry about the length of the post, but I am too greedy to split them up…

The first book of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series,  also from J.R. Ward, is heading into a special collector’s edition hardcover printing, due out this October 4th.  Hm, the version of Dark Lover looks pretty much the same as the original, but I am not complaining.

I am a big Christine Feehan fan, so I was very happy to find not one, but two upcoming covers from her Dark series.  The first one is my much anticipated (God, yes) cover for Dark Predator, again a September 6th release.  I am going to be torn between Dmitri and Zacarius and who to read first, I can just tell.

And the second cover from Christine Feehan is for the special re-release of two previous Dark titles into one trade paperback book, this one called Darkest at Dawn.  If I am not mistaken, the two are Dark Secret and Dark Hunger.  Look for it on November 1st.

Body Thief is the second book from C.J. Barry‘s Body series.  It is scheduled for release on November 1st.

Still going…Next up is the third book in Tessa Adam‘s Dragon’s Heat series (I just got the second one in the mail today).  Forbidden Embers is an October 4th release.

I have the previous books sitting on the TBR mountain, but looks like there is another one to add to the list.  Haunting Embrace is the next Mists of Ireland book from Erin Quinn, due out on October 4th.

I know there are a lot of Steampunk fans out there, and that Meljean Brook‘s Iron Seas series is a biggie.  This one is the cover for Heart of Steel, due out on November 1st.

Robin D. Owens is putting out a collection of four short stories set in her Celta’s Heartmates world.  Hearts and Swords is a December 6th release.

Halfways done.   Anyhow, next up is the second book in Cherie Priest‘s Cheshire Red Reports series.  Hellbent (I like these covers) is due out on August 30th.

The Order of the Sicari is a series from Monica Burns, and Inferno’s Kiss is the third book.  It is an October 4th release.

I am looking forward to this new series from J.D. Tyler (aka Jo Davis).  Primal Law is the first book in her Alpha Pack series, and should be available on August 2nd.

And for something a bit different, Slade is the next book up for Sarah McCarty in her Shadow Wranglers series.  It should be out on September 6th.

Actually, I haven’t heard anything about this one before, but author Jo Carlisle will have Temptation at Twilight out on November 1st.  It is a Lords of Pleasure book.

I do love me a good paranormal Christmas anthology, so Tied With a Bow is right up my alley (especially featuring a Lora Leigh Breeds story).  It will be available on November 1st.

Velvet Moon is the third book in Sophie Renwick‘s The Immortals of Annwyn series, due out in early December.

C.E. Murphy finishes up her Worldwalker Duology with Wayfinder, due out on September 6th.

And finally, MaryJanice Davidson will release Wolf at the Door on October 4th.  I am not sure if this is a stand alone title, or part of a larger series, but I will keep an eye out for more details.
