Cover Lover – 4 New Titles

I just got home from Twilight, Breaking Dawn part 2.  I was never a die-hard, camp out for a week to get a ticket fan, but I did enjoy them – in spite of the sometimes bad acting, bad writing, and general cheese effect.  There were a few unintentionally hilarious moments, but all in all a decent way to spend the evening (I did spend a good portion of the movie trying to picture Volturi Cassius as Jace in the Mortal Instruments, but I never could get there).  Anyways, I came home to see a couple of new covers, so back to business…

This first one is from Alexandra Ivy and her Guardians of Darkness series.  Darkness Avenged is Santiago and Nefri’s story, and it will be released on June 4th.

The cover is also out for Robin D. Owens‘ next Celta book, Heart Fortune.  It will be released on August 6th of next year.

Number three is from the Jane Yellowrock series from Faith HunterBlood Trade will be released on April 2nd.

And this final one is from Molly HarperA Witch’s Handbook of Kisses and Curses is set in the same world as her Nice Girls books, and it will be released on May 28th.

Cover Lover – Mega Edition

Wow, there has been a ton of book covers released in the last few days, most of which I got from either Goodreads or Amazon.  This first one is Black City from Christina Henry, the fifth book in the Madeline Black series, which is due out on February 26th.

I forgot to up this one last cover lover post.  Demon Hunting in a Dive Bar is the third book in Lexi George‘s Demon series, due out next February.

This first young adult cover is from the popular Morganville Vampires series.  Rachel Caine will release Fall of Night on May 7th.

Devon Monk may be wrapping up her Allie Beckstrom series, but the Age of Steam series is still going strong.  Cold Copper will be out on July 2nd.

The third book of Lynn Viehl‘s Lords of the Darkyn series, Nightbound, will be released on May 7th.

M.J. Scott‘s Half Light City series continues on April 2nd with the release of the third book, Iron Kin.

Emerald Green is the title of the third and final book in Kerstin Gier‘s Edelstein Trilogy, which is due out sometime next year.

The next Arcadia Bell novel from Jenn Bennett is called Binding the Shadows, and it will be available on May 28th.

It looks like the upcoming anthology, Enthralled, will feature a story from Lora Leigh‘s Breeds series.  There are also stories from Alyssa Day, Meljean Brook, and Lucy Monroe.  Look for it on July 2nd.

The first book from Ann Aguirre‘s (writing as A.A. Aguirre) upcoming Apparatus Infernum series, Bronze Gods, now has a cover.  It will be released on April 30th.

It looks like there was a novella from the Sharie Kohler Moon Chasers series that I totally missed.  Darkest Temptation was released on October 30th.

Still going…Darkness Bred is the second book from Stella Cameron‘s Chimney Rock series, which should be available on May 28th.

Robin D. Owens will release the next book in her Celta Heartmates series, Heart Fortune, on August 6th.

This one is…pink.  Very pink.  Hearts of Shadow is the second book from Kira Brady‘s Deadglass series, which is due out on May 7th.

And finally, the cover has been released for the second book in Bec McMaster‘s London Steampunk series.  Heart of Iron will be out on May 7th.

There were a few more, but they haven’t really been put “out there” yet, so I am holding back a bit.  Which one or ones did you like from this batch?  Any that you can’t wait to get your hands on?

Cover Lover – Ever After Edition

There are three new covers for this go round (probably more than that out new, but I haven’t started today’s hunting expedition yet), and two of them are versions of Ever After.  This first one is called, well, Ever After.  It is from Kim Harrison‘s The Hollows series, due out in hardcover on January 22nd.

And this second one is called…Enchanted Ever After.  It is part of Robin D. Owens‘ Mystic Circle series, and it is scheduled for release on December 18th.

This third one has nothing to do with ever or after, but I thought I might as well toss it into the mix.  The second book from Michelle Rowen‘s Nightwatchers series sort of misses the fun, funky feel of the first book for me.  That one had a whole Elvis vibe going on that I liked, but here I think if her face was less pink, it would have worked better.   Wicked Kiss will be released on February 26th.

New Additions

I have found a couple of more titles to add to the new release pages, a lot in the Young Adult side of things.

  • Cynthia Eden will be contributing to a new anthology next September called Howl For It.  Not sure yet on the other authors involved.
  • The fourth book of J.R. Ward‘s Fallen Angels series is rumored to be called Rapture.  It will be out at the beginning of next September.
  • Desire the Night is a new one coming from Amanda Ashley.  It should be available on September 4th.
  • Melissa de la Cruz will start her Blue Bloods spin-off series called Wolf Pact next September with the release of book one, also called Wolf Pact.
  • Author Kira Brady will be starting her Deadglass Trilogy next August with the release of the first book, Hearts of Darkness.  This one sounds interesting.
  • Book #11 of the Celta’s Heartmates series from Robin D. Owens will be coming out next August 7th.  It will be called Heart Secret.
  • This one is a bit different.  Michelle Rowen will be returning to her Immortality Bites world with a new series.  The Sarah Dearly books will start up again next October with the release of Blood Bath and Beyond.
  • Lilith Saintcrow will start an adult oriented series next fall called Bannon & Clare.  Book one will be called The Iron Wyrm Affair.
  • The second book of the Anna series from Kendare Blake will be called Girl of Nightmares (great cover, too).  Look for it next August.
  • Even though Andrea Cremer‘s Nightshade trilogy wraps up early next year, there will be at least two more books from that world.  Billed as a prequel series, the Nightshade Companion books will include next August’s Rift, and will be followed by Rise in 2013.
  • And finally the third book of the Halo series from Alexandra Adornetto will be called Heaven, and is scheduled for release on August 21st.

Cover Lover – 8 New Titles

Hm, not really sure what the big thing is with all of the new covers coming out the last few days, but I found a few more to throw on the pile.  The next Queen Betsy book from MaryJanice Davidson, Undead and Unstable, has a fun, funky cover.  This one is due out in hardcover on June 5th.

There is a second MaryJanice Davidson cover out, as well.  This one is called Dying for You, and it appears to be a collection of four short stories.  It is an August 7th release.

I didn’t realize that Kelley Armstrong was ending her Women of the Otherworld series.  Looks like number 13, titled Thirteen, will be the final story.  It will be released on July 24th.

I am not a big fan of Jean Johnson (I wanted to go through the page and kill the “heroine” of her Sons of Destiny series, Kelly), but the cover for The Shifter is not bad.  Not sure if this is connected to any previous books, but it is due out on May 1st.

Number five is from author Dakota Cassidy.  She returns to her Accidental series with the June 5th release of Accidentally Dead, Again.

Charlaine Harris‘ Sookie Stackhouse covers are…different.  I don’t actually like them, but they do stand out, and Deadlocked is no exception.  This one is coming out on May 1st.

The second book from Kylie Griffin‘s Light Blade series now has a cover.  Alliance Forged is due out next fall.

The last one is from Robin D. Owens.  She continues her Celta’s Heartmates series next fall with the release of Heart Secret.  I didn’t even hear about this one before, which means I am way behind.

Cover Lover – 17 New Titles

It is that Christmas come early time for me again, since I scored quite a few new covers today.  I love finding a load of covers, and my inner book-nerd is in Heaven.  I also found Archangel’s Blade and Envy from J.R. Ward, but the watermarks made me feel too guilty to post them so I removed both.  Sorry about the length of the post, but I am too greedy to split them up…

The first book of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series,  also from J.R. Ward, is heading into a special collector’s edition hardcover printing, due out this October 4th.  Hm, the version of Dark Lover looks pretty much the same as the original, but I am not complaining.

I am a big Christine Feehan fan, so I was very happy to find not one, but two upcoming covers from her Dark series.  The first one is my much anticipated (God, yes) cover for Dark Predator, again a September 6th release.  I am going to be torn between Dmitri and Zacarius and who to read first, I can just tell.

And the second cover from Christine Feehan is for the special re-release of two previous Dark titles into one trade paperback book, this one called Darkest at Dawn.  If I am not mistaken, the two are Dark Secret and Dark Hunger.  Look for it on November 1st.

Body Thief is the second book from C.J. Barry‘s Body series.  It is scheduled for release on November 1st.

Still going…Next up is the third book in Tessa Adam‘s Dragon’s Heat series (I just got the second one in the mail today).  Forbidden Embers is an October 4th release.

I have the previous books sitting on the TBR mountain, but looks like there is another one to add to the list.  Haunting Embrace is the next Mists of Ireland book from Erin Quinn, due out on October 4th.

I know there are a lot of Steampunk fans out there, and that Meljean Brook‘s Iron Seas series is a biggie.  This one is the cover for Heart of Steel, due out on November 1st.

Robin D. Owens is putting out a collection of four short stories set in her Celta’s Heartmates world.  Hearts and Swords is a December 6th release.

Halfways done.   Anyhow, next up is the second book in Cherie Priest‘s Cheshire Red Reports series.  Hellbent (I like these covers) is due out on August 30th.

The Order of the Sicari is a series from Monica Burns, and Inferno’s Kiss is the third book.  It is an October 4th release.

I am looking forward to this new series from J.D. Tyler (aka Jo Davis).  Primal Law is the first book in her Alpha Pack series, and should be available on August 2nd.

And for something a bit different, Slade is the next book up for Sarah McCarty in her Shadow Wranglers series.  It should be out on September 6th.

Actually, I haven’t heard anything about this one before, but author Jo Carlisle will have Temptation at Twilight out on November 1st.  It is a Lords of Pleasure book.

I do love me a good paranormal Christmas anthology, so Tied With a Bow is right up my alley (especially featuring a Lora Leigh Breeds story).  It will be available on November 1st.

Velvet Moon is the third book in Sophie Renwick‘s The Immortals of Annwyn series, due out in early December.

C.E. Murphy finishes up her Worldwalker Duology with Wayfinder, due out on September 6th.

And finally, MaryJanice Davidson will release Wolf at the Door on October 4th.  I am not sure if this is a stand alone title, or part of a larger series, but I will keep an eye out for more details.

Random Updates

O.K. I swear I almost had a heart attack when I checked my usual sources to see if I could find any new release dates or info.  Instead of the couple of things I usually have to scratch and dig to find, I came up with…two full handwritten pages of stuff.  Some big, some not, so I am going to just hit the highlights here, and update the links in the new release summaries for the rest…

  • Bound by the Vampire Queen will be the next book in Joey W. Hill‘s Vampire Queen series, due out on December 6th.

  • September 27th will see the release of both Lora Leigh‘s Lawe’s Justice, and Nalini Singh‘s Archangel’s Blade.  Nice.
  • The next book of Michele Bardsley‘s Broken Heart Vampries will be called Must Love Lycans.  Look for it on September 6th.
  • Sarah McCarty will continue her Shadow Wranglers series with Slade on September 6th.
  • and finally, looks like the next Allie Beckstrom book from Devon Monk will be called Magic on the Line.  It should be hitting the shelves on November 1st.

It has been a busy couple of days trying to update for next summer’s new releases, and the to-do list just got a bit longer…
