Cover Lover – 7 New Titles

I have been in the process of updating the new release dates, and I was surprised to find a few new covers I missed over the last couple of days. Must’ve been off my game or something. Anyways, this first one is from Chloe Neill and her Chicagoland Vampires series. Blood Games will be released on August 5th.

Nobody should read the Throne of Glass novels without reading the novellas first or you will be disappointed BUT this is a new release of all the novellas in one cover but it says “all 5 novellas” (The Assassin’s Blade: The Throne of Glass novellas), I can only come up with 4, what am I missing here?

    Pirate Lord

At first I thought you were signing your post “Pirate Lord”…you know I have been reading too much when that happens.

There was actually a fifth novella story that had been a free read, from what I gather, called the Assassin and the Healer. The links for it have been taken down, probably because they included it in this anthology.

        Found this on her website:

“In addition to publishing the Throne of Glass novels, there are four prequel novellas, all set before the events of the series. All four novellas, The Assassin and the Pirate Lord, The Assassin and the Desert, and The Assassin and the Underworld, and The Assassin and the Empire, are available wherever Bloomsbury e-books are sold. And in March 2014, all four novellas (plus a brand-new fifth novella!) will be published”

This brand-new fifth novella is called: The Assassin and the Healer. Here is a summary I got from GR:

“Meet the Assassin: beautiful, defiant, destined for greatness. Celaena Sardothien has challenged her master. Now she must pay the price. Her journey to the Red Desert will be an arduous one, but it may change the fate of her cursed world forever…”

I discovered this novella I few months ago and from what I could gather was that it was always meant to be free a short time, I think it was gift for the readers, for making the books a success or something (not sure though). So the luck people who followed her found out about this at the right time and could read for free, the not so lucky ones (like me) would have to wait for the compillation book to comes out *sigh*

BTW she also released 2 short stories/scenes that takes place in between Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight for free:

1 – The Assassin and the Princess – GR link that shows where you can find all the chapters:

2 – The Assassin and the Captain – GR link that shows where you can find all the chapters:
