New Series Alerts…

Random thought of the day. If you go to a decent furniture store and buy a $800 stand for your tv…it should not come in pieces in a box. Especially after you make a point of asking – twice – that everything you are buying comes fully assembled. Anyways. Six hours of assembly, two splinters, and a backache later, and this is the only thing I could find for a new series this week.

Aimee Carter starts her new Blackcoat Rebellion series this week with the release of Pawn. I have to admit, I haven’t heard much about this one as yet.

YOU CAN BE A VII. IF YOU GIVE UP EVERYTHING.

For Kitty Doe, it seems like an easy choice. She can either spend her life as a III in misery, looked down upon by the higher ranks and forced to leave the people she loves, or she can become a VII and join the most powerful family in the country.

If she says yes, Kitty will be Masked—surgically transformed into Lila Hart, the Prime Minister’s niece, who died under mysterious circumstances. As a member of the Hart family, she will be famous. She will be adored. And for the first time, she will matter.

There’s only one catch. She must also stop the rebellion that Lila secretly fostered, the same one that got her killed…and one Kitty believes in. Faced with threats, conspiracies and a life that’s not her own, she must decide which path to choose—and learn how to become more than a pawn in a twisted game she’s only beginning to understand.

Will you be checking this one out? I am on a huge YA kick lately, but I am more picking up the finished trilogies that I am behind rather than starting new ones.

Lol, that’s exactly how I feel after I have to construct any kind of furniture. We bought a playhouse for the kids and it was such a pain in the butt to put together. And this outdoor canopy thing – I almost quit in the middle of putting it together…hah

Yeah…surrender was a definite option. Then dragging whatever it is outside and setting it on fire. It would be even worse for you since you were doing it for kids, too. More pressure.
