Spotlight on…Anna Lowe

anna loweAuthor Anna Lowe sent me an email this past week that mentioned her Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series, and I thought it looked really interesting. So far there are three books and a few short stories, and it looks like more to come. I browsed through the reviews, which have been consistently solid, on both Amazon and Goodreads, as well. Plus, I like the covers, so I thought maybe I would do up a little author spotlight post to see if this is something that might appeal to all of you, or to get your take on it if you have already read it.

desert moonBook one is called Desert Moon.

Lana Dixon knows well enough to steer clear of alpha males, but Ty Hawthorne is as impossible to avoid as the sizzling Arizona sun. Her inner wolf just won’t give up on the alpha who’s tall, dark, and more than a little dangerous. One midnight romp under the full moon is enough for Lana to know she’ll risk her life for him — but what about her pride?

Ty puts duty above everything — even the overwhelming instinct that says Lana’s the one. She’s the Juliet to his Romeo: forbidden. And with a pack of poaching rogues closing in, it’s hardly the time to yield to his desires. Or is love just what this lonely alpha needs to set his spirit free?

desert bloodBook two is Desert Blood.

Heather Luth knows nothing about the paranormal world until one awful night changes everything. Now she’s on the run — straight into the arms of forbidden love. Her mind knows better than to fall for Cody Hawthorne’s sunny smile and mesmerizing voice, but her heart — and destiny — have other ideas.

On the surface, Cody is warm, witty, and fun, but beneath his carefree facade, Heather sees a real man struggling to break free. Day by day, Heather and Cody grow closer and closer, unable to resist their simmering passion — while day by day, a serial murderer closes in on his prey. Duty fights desire; fear wrestles trust as the human world clashes with the paranormal in a tale of forbidden love.

desert fateAnd number three is called Desert Fate.

Kyle Williams is a lone wolf just trying to settle in to a new skin. But when a brown-eyed girl from his past turns up, bloodied by a rival male, the instinct to protect overrides everything — including duty to his pack. He’s ready to risk everything for her. But what’s love, and what’s an illusion?

Oh, and as a bonus, Anna also offers two free books over on her website, which is a great introduction to her work. You can get your hands on the novella Desert Wolf, which is story #1.5 in the series, by signing up for her newsletter HERE.

desert wolfFree short story Desert Wolf.

Lana Dixon may have won her destined mate’s heart, but that was in Arizona. Now, she’s bringing her desert wolf home to meet her family — the sworn enemies of his pack. How far will they push her mate to prove himself worthy? And is their relationship ready for the test?

Ok, who has checked this series out? What did you think? Will you be taking advantage of the free story to give her work a try?

I’ll be giving it a try — especially now that I see that the series is available on Kindle Unlimited. And yeah, who wouldn’t like those covers? 😉

I discovered this series on amazon when I was doing a search for free reads. I liked it and even made a purchase of the next in the series

Thanks for the spotlight! What an honor to appear here! I’m so glad some of your readers have discovered my books and guess what? I’ve just added a fun “Bonus materials” section to my website ( with behind-the-scenes goodies on every one of my stories. You can find out where the inspiration for the characters, place, and stories came from, and have fun with puzzles and other fun content. Thanks again, Kaleigha!

I liked them. Though I had the feeling with all 3 books, that they lacked a little depth. The constructed world is only explained on a need-to-know basis when something happens along the storyline. But it was definitely a nice read and would recommend to check it out.
