This and That

I don’t have a ton to share this time, but there are a couple of things that I was really happy to see…

  • We are one step closer to more Hidden Legacy. It looks like the fourth book from the Ilona Andrews series doesn’t have a title as yet, but it will coming out on August 27th.
  • I am looking forward to Ian’s Night Rebel series from Jeaniene Frost, and it looks like the second book is in the works. Wicked Promises will be released next July 30th.
  • There will be a fourth book in Chloe Neill‘s Devil’s Isle series. The Beyond will be released next June.
  • I thought the Secret McQueen series from Sierra Dean had wrapped up, but it looks like the 9th book will be released this December. It’s called Secret Lives.
  • There is no official title as yet, but the 49th In Death book from J.D. Robb will be coming out next August 1st. I am about half way through the series, but still a darn long way to go.
  • Oh, and I missed a couple of Thea Harrison novella collection re-releases…

Thank you for the updates: release dates galore! I need to reread Night huntress and night prince series so I’m properly basted for Ian hahaa.

And i didn’t know the elder novellas were being sold as one. That’s relieving because now I don’t have to go around buying each one.
Elder races is one of those series I started off really enjoying after I stopped comparing it to Archangel. But come book 7,8 I couldn’t. Remember when u asked us of series we just lose excitement over time? Yea this was mine.

So here I am again getting excited for some novellas lol.

I found that the wonky release dates on the Elder Races threw me off a bit. I did like the Moonshadow stories, and I really enjoyed the short story in the Amid the Winter Snow (I think that is what is was called) anthology, but it feels like the main series has been in limbo for a while. I think it’s been over 3 years since the last book, and that dims my enjoyment a bit, too.

As for the novella love, I am so excited to get my hands on Diamond Fire from Ilona Andrews that is it bordering on pathetic. I have read every excerpt I could find a couple of times. So strange.

Oh gosh yes! Diamond Fire is marked in my calendar with a countdown! I’m ready for more Hidden Legacy! I’m kinda mad that it isn’t a full novel. I get the feeling u love Ilona Andrews the way I love Moning and Singh.

I just got (finallllly) got to Ilona Andrews. After falling in love with Frost it was a no brainer. So, do u think Kate Daniels is better than Hidden Legacy?

For me, personally, Hidden Legacy is my favorite. Kate is great, but Hidden Legacy became an absolute favorite right from the first book. Ilona is my favorite author, with Nalini coming in at an almost tie for second. After that? I would have to say Kelley Armstrong is a strong third, then Ward and Briggs would round out my top five.

          • Omoye says:

Ahh ok. I love that lineup. Similar to mine! Ok I’m gonna read Kate Daniels so i can meltnover iron and magic like everyone else..

As I patiently wait for frost and Singh to drop them gems!!

            • kaleigha says:

Oh, yeah. You could do Iron and Magic without Kate first, but I think you would miss out not having his back story. My favorite part of the Kate Daniels series is the secondary characters – Hugh, Roman, Derek – pretty much all the boys, I guess.
