New Series Alerts

Hard to believe another Monday has rolled around. I broke down and picked up one of the new series books from last week’s post – Kristen Painter‘s The Trouble With Witches, which had some really good review. I’m not far in yet, but it seems decent. I am having no trouble putting it down, but I am still interested in seeing how things play out, which is more than I can say for some books I have grabbed recently.

Anyways, this week there are a couple of new series to take a look at, starting with this one from Cara Bristol. Under Fyre is the first book of her Alien Dragon Shifters series.

under fyreSynopsis…

Betrayed by her people, does she dare trust a dragon?

The alien dragon shifters who discover Earth come in peace—at first. Then, inexplicably, they threaten to attack. In an attempt to show goodwill and appease the dragons, Earth sends a human woman to become a concubine to one of the Draconian king’s sons, Prince K’ev.

K’ev would sooner give up his ability to breathe fire than accept a human, but when he meets Rhianna, sparks fly, and his dragon realizes she’s his mate.

Rhianna falls for the hot-blooded prince, unaware she’s a key link in a desperate scheme to defeat the dragons, a strike that could backfire with devastating consequences. Will she figure out what Earth has planned in time to save her dragon mate? And if she does, will K’ev be able to save her planet from an angry king’s retaliation?

And this second one is from Jennifer Laslie. How to Spell Disaster is the first book of the Unfortunate Spells series.

how to spell disasterSynopsis…

Being careless with magic is the best way to spell disaster.

Tucker didn’t think his love life could get any worse, until he comes across an antique spell book. When the translation goes awry, instead of finding one girl, he’s bombarded by women left and right. Now it’s jeopardizing both his job and sanity.

Tucker seeks answers at the occult shop, but the witchy owner advises him magic can’t always fix his problems. This time, only true love’s first kiss can lift the spell.

As the magic grows stronger, Tucker isn’t sure how much longer he can survive. But finding the right woman to kiss shouldn’t be too hard. Right?

Will you be trying either of these new series out? Have you read anything from these author before?
