Cover Lover – Lionheart

Thea Harrison released the cover for her next Moonshadow book, Lionheart, which is due out this December. So, yeah. The cover. Welp, I’ve got nothing. Dude is…mature. And…unusual. Not your standard cover model (my expression right now kind of looks like the lion in the top corner, honestly). So, your thoughts?

Circle of the Moon Cover and Blurb

This one makes me happy. The cover and official blurb for the next Soulwood book from Faith Hunter has been released, and it is a beauty. The Soulwood series is a big favorite of mine, and now I can begin the countdown until Circle of the Moon is released…next February 26th. Ugh.

circle of the moonSynopsis…

Nell can draw magic from the land around her, and lately she’s been using it to help the Psy-Law Enforcement Division, which solves paranormal crimes. Joining the team at PsyLED has allowed her to learn more about her powers and the world she always shunned–and to find true friends.

Head agent Rick LaFleur shifts into a panther when the moon calls him, but this time, something has gone wrong. Rick calls Nell from a riverbank–he’s naked, with no memory of how he came to be there, and there’s a dead black cat, sacrificed in a witch circle and killed by black magic, lying next to him.

Then more animals turn up dead, and team rushes to investigate. A blood-witch is out to kill. But when it seems as if their leader is involved in the crime, the bonds that hold the team together could shatter at any moment.

I tore through the last book so quickly that I really need to do a re-read. Actually, a re-read of all three books is in order. I get so much more out of a little series marathoning that it is definitely worth the time. And it isn’t like it is a hardship…

Summoned to Thirteenth Grave Cover and Blurb

So. Summoned to Thirteenth Grave. It is hard to believe that it will be the final Charley Davidson book, but I am also glad that Darynda Jones is wrapping it up while things are still good. Ever since the whole God angle was introduced, I found myself drifting off from the series a bit…actually, I was getting more interested in the secondary characters than Charley and Reyes. I do so hope that while this might be the end of Charley’s tale, it will lead to more stories set in this world.

summoned to thirteenth graveSynopsis…

Charley Davidson, Grim Reaper extraordinaire, is pissed. She’s been kicked off the earthly plain for eternity – which is the appropriate amount of time to make a person starkraving mad. But someone’s looking out for her, and she’s allowed to return after a mere hundred years in exile. Is it too much to hope for that not much has changed? Apparently it is. Bummer.

She’s missed her daughter, she’s missed Reyes, and Beep, but now that she’s back on earth, it’s time to put to rest burning questions that need answers. What happened to her mother? How did she really die? Who killed her? And are cupcakes or coffee the best medicine? It all comes to a head in an epic showdown between good and evil in this final smart and hilarious novel.

I do have a minor gripe, though. “She’s missed her daughter, she’s missed Reyes, and Beep…” Um, daughter = Beep, unless I am missing something? And did I block out something about her mother being murdered, because it honestly isn’t ringing any bells? Of course, it wouldn’t be the first thing I got hazy on. Who am I kidding?

A couple of steps closer to Iron and Magic!

Alright, I might have a small confession to make. For some reason, I didn’t really think Hugh’s story would ever be a real thing. It started out as an April Fool’s Day joke from Ilona Andrews, but from there it sort of took on a life of its own – and now I am counting down the days until the release of Iron and Magic. What makes it more real is that it now has a cover…and a preorder link. And even better? It is the first book of The Iron Covenant trilogy. TRILOGY. As in two more to come! So, lo and behold Hugh and Elara…

iron and magicSynopsis…

Hugh d’Ambray, Preceptor of the Iron Dogs, Warlord of the Builder of Towers, served only one man. Now his immortal, nearly omnipotent master has cast him aside. Hugh is a shadow of the warrior he was, but when he learns that the Iron Dogs, soldiers who would follow him anywhere, are being hunted down and murdered, he must make a choice: to fade away or to be the leader he was born to be. Hugh knows he must carve a new place for himself and his people, but they have no money, no shelter, and no food, and the necromancers are coming. Fast.

Elara Harper is a creature who should not exist. Her enemies call her Abomination; her people call her White Lady. Tasked with their protection, she’s trapped between the magical heavyweights about to collide and plunge the state of Kentucky into a war that humans have no power to stop. Desperate to shield her people and their simple way of life, she would accept help from the devil himself—and Hugh d’Ambray might qualify.

Hugh needs a base, Elara needs soldiers. Both are infamous for betraying their allies, so how can they create a believable alliance to meet the challenge of their enemies?

As the prophet says: “It is better to marry than to burn.”

Hugh and Elara may do both.

It wasn’t just me, right, who thought that this might never come to be? I mean, I had hopes (since Kate Daniels is wrapping up this year, I am grateful for anything set in this world), but I thought at best we might get a novella. But a trilogy? With Hugh? Count me so in.

What do you want to see happen in Hugh’s arc? Do you want a Kate-and-Curran appearance, or do you hope that their paths don’t cross? Either way, I look forward to seeing how Ilona Andrews manages to redeem Hugh – ’cause as much as I personally enjoyed his part in Kate’s story, that dude was seriously messed up.

Cover Lover – 9 New Titles

It seems like it has been forever since I have done a cover lover post, and I have a few new ones to show. Let’s start with Of Blood and Bone from Nora Roberts. It is the second book in the Chronicles of the One series, and it will be out on December 18th.

of blood and boneSynopsis…

They look like an everyday family living an ordinary life. But beyond the edges of this peaceful farm, unimaginable forces of light and dark have been unleashed.

Fallon Swift, approaching her thirteenth birthday, barely knows the world that existed before—the city where her parents lived, now in ruins and reclaimed by nature since the Doom sickened and killed billions. Traveling anywhere is a danger, as vicious gangs of Raiders and fanatics called Purity Warriors search for their next victim. Those like Fallon, in possession of gifts, are hunted—and the time is coming when her true nature, her identity as The One, can no longer be hidden.

In a mysterious shelter in the forest, her training is about to begin under the guidance of Mallick, whose skills have been honed over centuries. She will learn the old ways of healing; study and spar; encounter faeries and elves and shifters; and find powers within herself she never imagined. And when the time is right, she will take up the sword, and fight. For until she grows into the woman she was born to be, the world outside will never be whole again.

The next October Daye book from Seanan McGuire will be called Night and Silence, and it will be released on September 4th.

night and silenceSynopsis…

Things are not okay.

In the aftermath of Amandine’s latest betrayal, October “Toby” Daye’s fragile self-made family is on the verge of coming apart at the seams. Jazz can’t sleep, Sylvester doesn’t want to see her, and worst of all, Tybalt has withdrawn from her entirely, retreating into the Court of Cats as he tries to recover from his abduction. Toby is floundering, unable to help the people she loves most heal. She needs a distraction. She needs a quest.

What she doesn’t need is the abduction of her estranged human daughter, Gillian. What she doesn’t need is to be accused of kidnapping her own child by her ex-boyfriend and his new wife, who seems to be harboring secrets of her own. There’s no question of whether she’ll take the case. The only question is whether she’s emotionally prepared to survive it.

Signs of Faerie’s involvement are everywhere, and it’s going to take all Toby’s nerve and all her allies to get her through this web of old secrets, older hatreds, and new deceits. If she can’t find Gillian before time runs out, her own child will pay the price. One question remains:

Who in Faerie remembered Gillian existed? And what do they stand to gain? No matter how this ends, Toby’s life will never be the same.

This third one comes from Ashlyn Chase. More Than a Phoenix is part of her Phoenix Brothers series, and it will be released on October 2nd.

more than a phoenix

Jennifer Estep is branching out. She will be starting up her new Crown of Shards series with the release of the first book, Kill the Queen, on October 2nd.

kill the queenSynopsis…

Gladiator meets Game of Thrones: a royal woman becomes a skilled warrior to destroy her murderous cousin, avenge her family, and save her kingdom in this first entry in a dazzling fantasy epic from the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Elemental Assassin series—an enthralling tale that combines magic, murder, intrigue, adventure, and a hint of romance.

In a realm where one’s magical power determines one’s worth, Lady Everleigh’s lack of obvious ability relegates her to the shadows of the royal court of Bellona, a kingdom steeped in gladiator tradition. Seventeenth in line for the throne, Evie is nothing more than a ceremonial fixture, overlooked and mostly forgotten.

But dark forces are at work inside the palace. When her cousin Vasilia, the crown princess, assassinates her mother the queen and takes the throne by force, Evie is also attacked, along with the rest of the royal family. Luckily for Evie, her secret immunity to magic helps her escape the massacre.

Forced into hiding to survive, she falls in with a gladiator troupe. Though they use their talents to entertain and amuse the masses, the gladiators are actually highly trained warriors skilled in the art of war, especially Lucas Sullivan, a powerful magier with secrets of his own. Uncertain of her future—or if she even has one—Evie begins training with the troupe until she can decide her next move.

But as the bloodthirsty Vasilia exerts her power, pushing Bellona to the brink of war, Evie’s fate becomes clear: she must become a fearsome gladiator herself . . . and kill the queen.

With a handful of stolen cards, Ernie has just been made an unwilling player in a game of good versus evil. But she’s not even playing with a full deck, and its original owner is more than happy to kill to get his cards back.

Suddenly Ernie’s matching wits and plays with the supernatural Immortal Dealers, who can raise empires, damn souls, and shape the world’s destiny. It’s up to Ernie to defeat the most brutal member of their order. And if her roguish new ally isn’t bluffing, he can help. The mystery is all in the cards, and to save her life—and humanity—Ernie had better learn how to deal.

Archangel’s Prophecy Cover Reveal

Today is a pretty good day, honestly. Not only did I kindly get sent an ARC of Nalini Singh‘s upcoming Psy-Changeling release, Ocean Light (yes!), but it is also the reveal day for the cover of her next guild Hunter book, too. Archangel’s Prophecy is a return to Raphael and Elena’s side of the story, and it will be released on October 30th.

USA_Archangels_Prophecy_Cover_-_CopySynopsis…

Midnight and dawn, Elena’s wings are unique among angelkind…and now they’re failing. The first mortal to be turned into an immortal in angelic memory, she’s regressing. Becoming more and more human. Easier to hurt. Easier to kill.

Elena and Raphael must unearth the reason for the regression before it’s too late and Elena falls out of the sky. Yet even as they fight a furious battle for Elena’s very survival, violent forces are gathering in New York and across the world.

In China, the Archangel Favashi is showing the first signs of madness. In New York, a mysterious sinkhole filled with lava swallows a man whole. In Africa, torrential monsoon rains flood rolling deserts. And in Elena’s mind whispers a haunting voice that isn’t her own.

This time, survival may not be possible…not even for the consort of an archangel.

The cover is once again from Tony Mauro, and I think it is a beauty. I do love the covers from this series, and it kind of makes me wish I still had the print versions to look at. Sometimes.

Are you looking forward to this one? Whose story would you like to see up next?

Covers and Blurbs and all that Stuff…Part 2

Yep, just like the title says, this is a continuation of yesterday’s post. Let’s jump right in with the next Elemental Assassin release from Jennifer Estep. Venom in The Veins is the 17th title in the series (and I believe the first to be self-pubbed), and it will be released on June 12th.

venom in the veinsBlood might be thicker than water, but venom is stronger than just about anything …

It was supposed to be a nice, quiet, simple dinner with friends—but nothing is ever nice, quiet, or simple when you’re Gin Blanco, the Spider, notorious assassin and current queen of the Ashland underworld.

This time around, someone seems to be targeting Stuart Mosley, the president of First Trust bank. Lots of people have grudges against Mosley, but the more I investigate, the more Mosley’s problems seem to be connected to some of my own, especially when it comes to the Circle, the evil, shadowy group that is secretly responsible for much of the crime and corruption in Ashland.

But when another blast from my dark and deadly past as the Spider comes to light, I wonder if I’ll be able to survive this dangerous new enemy, who has a burning thirst for revenge that will only be satisfied with one thing: my death.

I am quite looking forward to this next one. A Wolf Apart is the second title in Maria Vale‘s new The Legend of All Wolves series, and it will be out on August 7th.

a wolf apartWhen the Great North Pack is on the verge of falling apart, Pack wolf Elijah Sorensson wants to give up on his successful life in the human world to return home. But the Alpha says no–Elijah must continue to play his role to protect the Pack from those who want to destroy it.

Knowing he needs strength by his side, he seeks out human Thea Villalobos, a woman he’s admired from the moment he met her. He hopes she can help him break through his human shell before the ailing wolf inside him dies, and before the Pack is betrayed again. But can Thea accept who and what Elijah really is?

Kelly Meding has a new series firing up, too. Stray Magic is the first title in The Strays series, and it will be out on June 19th.

stray magicShiloh Harrison was hoping for a few days off to recover from a particularly nasty assignment, preferably with the help of the talented hands (and, well, the rest of his body too) of her sexy boyfriend, Vincent. But when a group of vampires takes an entire trailer park hostage, there’s nothing to do but make her apologies and get to the scene.

Such is the life of a Federal Marshal in the Paranormal Investigators Unit.

Yet this isn’t like her typical track-and-nab case: something is going on that has vampires scared, and it takes all her strength not to imagine what could frighten such powerful creatures. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have that option. Her boss is MIA, someone is snatching vampires, and there’s a ticking clock that can only end one way: a bloodbath.

Unless she can stop it.

It has been a while since I have seen anything from Jim Butcher‘s Dresden Files, but it looks like the dry spell is ending soon. Brief Cases is a collection of novellas, and it will be released on June 5th.

brief casesThe world of Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard, is rife with intrigue–and creatures of all supernatural stripes. And you’ll make their intimate acquaintance as Harry delves into the dark side of truth, justice, and the American way in this must-have short story collection.

From the Wild West to the bleachers at Wrigley Field, humans, zombies, incubi, and even fey royalty appear, ready to blur the line between friend and foe. In the never-before-published “Zoo Day,” Harry treads new ground as a dad, while fan-favorite characters Molly Carpenter, his onetime apprentice, White Council Warden Anastasia Luccio, and even Bigfoot stalk through the pages of more classic tales.

With twelve stories in all, Brief Cases offers both longtime fans and first-time readers tantalizing glimpses into Harry’s funny, gritty, and unforgettable realm, whetting their appetites for more to come from the wizard with a heart of gold.

Another novella comes our way from Gail Carriger, as well. How to Marry a Werewolf is from the Claw & Courtship series, and it has a release date of May 13th.

Gray Jennings…

There isn’t long to wait for the next Vampires in America book from D.B. Reynolds. Quinn is the 12th title in the series, and it will be out on April 27th.

quinnBrilliant and ambitious, Quinn Kavanagh was aiming for the top, even before he was turned. But now, as a powerful vampire lord, he’s driven by the demands of his blood, compelled to conquer and destroy, to defeat Ireland’s criminal ruler, and make the territory a better place for all its vampires and humans alike.

Smart and beautiful, Eve Connelly was a graduate student with life’s endless possibilities stretched out before her. But she doesn’t want to help Ireland’s vampires—she just wants to kill them.

Bound together by love and hate, Quinn and Eve will risk everything to bring down the bloody regime of Ireland’s current vampire ruler. But in order to find revenge for Eve and the ultimate power for Quinn, they first have to learn to trust each other. And that might be the most dangerous thing of all.

And this final one is from Elizabeth Hunter. The Storm is actually a stand-alone re-release of the Irin Chronicles story that was first published in the Amid the Winter Snow anthology. Look for it on April 17th.

the stormOn the darkest night of winter, can he bring light to her wounded heart?

When a letter arrives from a remote scribe house in Latvia, Leo and Max must return to their childhood home to face the father and grandfather who raised them. The past is inescapable, but can it be overcome? Is it possible to build a future of happiness from a foundation of pain?

There you have it. That wraps up some of the new stuff I stumbled across recently. What are you most looking forward to?

Covers and Blurbs and all that stuff…Part 1

I have a couple of days off, so I thought I would give the site a going over. I have added a few new upcoming books to the release date pages, updated the listings that were already there, and did a release-date check on everything to make sure they were all current. As always, there were a few titles that moved around, but not as many as usual.

There were quite a few new (to me) covers and blurbs I found, so I might break this up into two separate posts, just so it doesn’t get too incredibly boring. Let’s start with something a bit different from Larissa Ione. Dining With Angels: Bits and Bites From the Demonica Universe contains several new short stories, and doubles as a cookbook with recipes from Suzanne M. Jonhson, as well. This one will be released on November 6th.

dining with angelsIn a world where humans and supernatural beings coexist — not always peacefully — three things can bring everyone to the table: Love, a mutual enemy, and, of course, food.

With seven brand new stories from the Demonica universe, New York Times bestselling author Larissa Ione has the love and enemies covered, while celebrity Southern food expert Suzanne Johnson brings delicious food to the party.

And who doesn’t love a party? (Harvester rolls her eyes and raises her hand, but we know she’s lying.)

Join Ares and Cara as they celebrate a new addition to their family. See what Reaver and Harvester are doing to “spice” things up. Find out what trouble Reseph might have gotten himself into with Jillian. You’ll love reading about the further adventures of Wraith and Serena, Declan and Suzanne, and Shade and Runa, and you’re not going to want to miss the sit down with Eidolon and Tayla.

So pour a glass of the Grim Reaper’s finest wine and settle in for slices of life from your favorite characters and the recipes that bring them together. Whether you’re dining with angels, drinking with demons, or hanging with humans, you’ll find the perfect heavenly bits and sinful bites to suit the occasion.

This next one is from Eve Langlais. Hell’s King is the third book of the Hell’s Son series, and it will be released on November 15th.

hell's kingIn order to be king, Lucifer has to die…

The Antichrist is supposed to rule the world, but Chris kind of promised the ghost of his father-in-law he’d rather have the love of his wife.

And he meant it…at the time.

However, Chris was born with a destiny. He is the prince-in-waiting. The destroyer of nations.

A failure with no magic, no armies, and no longer even a psychotic mother he can call upon.

Is he destined for a mundane life?

Good thing fate has other plans. Plans that include him becoming Hell’s King.

Number three comes from Gena Showalter and her new Gods of War Series. Shadows and Ice is the first book, and it will be released on October 23rd.

shadow and iceKnox of Iviland has spent his life competing in the All Wars, where vicious warriors with supernatural powers fight to the death to claim new realms. One winner takes everything—and all losers die. Enslaved as a child for his ability to control shadows, the most ruthless champion in history will stop at nothing to kill his king. But first he must win the battle for Earth. When a fearsome weapon imprisons every combatant in ice, centuries pass without progress…until she walks in.

Vale London craves a fun arctic getaway with her foster sister before settling down to open a bakery. Street-tough but vulnerable, she is unprepared to find ancient gods escaping a frozen cave—merciless beings who target her when she inadvertently enters their war.

Though Vale is now his enemy, Knox is consumed with lust and a fierce need to protect her. But only one combatant can prove victorious, and he will have to choose: live for freedom, or die for love.

Donna Grant has a new Dark Kings novel coming out on October 30th, and it will be called Dragonfire.

dragonfireIt was a soul-deep longing, one that got into his bones and settled there, sending whispers of desire through him. The need, the hunger, grew tenfold with every breath. . . .

As a Dragon King, Roman is sworn to protect all mortals—even though they no longer believe in dragons. But deep in the Carpathian Mountains, he discovers a beautiful and mysterious gypsy who possesses the power to see into his very soul. To reignite the fire in his heart. And to help him find the long-lost sword that could save the dragons forever…

Sabina remembers the stories her grandmother told her. Legends of dragons and kings, fire and ice. And she’s never forgotten the dark prophecy that filled her ancestors with fear—a fate they tried to prevent by stealing a Dragon King’s sword. Sabina knows that helping Roman is dangerous. He is a dragon betrayed, and more powerful than any man. He could destroy her in a single fiery embrace. But how can she resist the longing in his eyes—or the feelings in her heart—when their destinies are bound by desire?

There isn’t much info available yet on this next one, other than it has a release date of sometime in 2019. Grave Destiny is the 6th book in Kalayna Price‘s Alex Craft series.

grave destiny

Lorraine is a lethal combination of cunning and courage. So much so that she captures the attention of a master vampire, one who has already lost what was once irreplaceable to him. One who will strike with deadly precision at Andor and his ancient Carpathian comrades in a war to end all wars.

There you have it for today. I will up the other covers and blurbs tomorrow, including a couple that I am quite looking forward to getting my hands on.

Covers and Blurbs

This is sort of a mash-up post of some recently released covers and blurbs. A big one is the official reveal of the first Night Rebel cover from Jeaniene Frost, Shades of Wicked. This one isn’t as epic as the Night Huntress books, but since it is Ian’s story, I will take what I can get. This one will be released on October 30th.

Shades of Wicked CR: Avon

Blurb:

The Rule Breaker

Master vampire Ian is unrepentant, shameless…and every shade of wicked. He’s made one too many enemies in his two centuries of existence, including Dagon, a demon who now lays claim to his soul. Ian’s only chance to escape Dagon is to join forces with a Law Guardian, but he’s never been able to abide by the rules for long.

The Law Maker

Veritas’ normal role is police, judge and jury to reprobates like Ian. But she has her own ax to grind with Dagon, so if she can use Ian as bait…well, all’s fair in law and war. As they scour supernatural hotspots to perfect their trap, Veritas soon realizes Ian’s devil-may-care, roguish image hides something much more powerful. And Ian discovers that Veritas has shocking secrets of her own. As they’re drawn to each other with a passion as intense as their peril, either love or justice will prevail. But each will have devastating consequences…

And it hasn’t been long since I have dipped a toe back into previous favorite author Christine Warren, but so far, so good. Her next Alphaville book will be called Your Lion Eyes, and it will be out on December 4th.

your lion eyesBlurb:

Molly Buchanan is a lioness on the prowl. Unfortunately, since she’s been prowling through the same town for her entire life, she’s down to some pretty slim pickings in the dating department. But the minute she sets eyes on the new bachelor in town, her lioness starts to purr and plans to do some serious rubbing up against Grady Emerson.

Newly arrived in Alpha, Washington, Grady just wants to settle in and do his job as the town’s newest deputy. But even this rogue-bear sheriff knew Molly Buchanan was trouble the minute he laid eyes on her. She might be smoking hot, sharp as a tack, and funny as hell, but she is also his friend’s younger sister, and there are some things a good man just doesn’t do-no matter how much his bear might want to devour her.

On the blurby side of things, there have been two biggies released recently. First up is Nalini Singh‘s Archangel’s Prophecy. It looks like this one will be a return to Raphael and Elena’s story, and it will be released on October 30th.

Blurb:

And there is a bit more info on Gena Showalter‘s upcoming Gods of War series. The first book will be called Shadow and Ice, and it has a release date of October 23rd.

Blurb:

Knox of Iviland has spent his life competing in the All Wars, where vicious warriors with supernatural powers fight to the death to claim new realms.

There you have it, a few upcoming releases to look forward to.

Cover Lover – 7 New Titles

I’m not sure, but I think that my last cover lover post might’ve been last year. I have been finding one here and there, but not really enough to get a whole post together until now. Let’s get started with a new one from Kathy Lyons. Alpha Unleashed is the 4th book in the Grizzlies Gone Wild series, and it will be released on March 6th.

But Alyssa doesn’t have time to deal with the fact that her ruggedly hot, long-time secret crush is a shifter . . . not when her brother has turned into one, too.

After ten months in bear form, Simon is struggling. He’s not ready to deal with anyone, let alone the bold and gorgeous Alyssa. Mine, whispers his bear. But all hell has broken loose in the Detroit shifter community, and it’s spreading to humans. Now Simon must face the darkest place of all: where bear and man become one. And the only way he can make it back to his humanity is by finding—and claiming—his mate.

This second one is from Gail Carriger. Competence is the 3rd book in the Custard Protocol series, and it will be out on July 17th.

When she uncovers rumors of a new kind of vampire, Prim and the Custard crew embark on a mission to Peru. There, they encounter airship pirates and strange atmospheric phenomena, and are mistaken for representatives of the Spanish Inquisition. Forced into extreme subterfuge (and some rather ridiculous outfits) Prim must also answer three of life’s most challenging questions:
Can the perfect book club give a man back his soul?
Will her brother ever stop wearing his idiotic velvet fez?
And can the amount of lard in Christmas pudding save an entire species?

Cover number three is from Cecilia Lane. Hunted Mate is the third book of the Shifters of Bear Den series, and it will be released on March 7th.

She’s been alone ever since.

Becca manages to survive. Barely. She escapes her nightmare, but with nowhere left to go, she’s forced to return to Bearden.

Heartache isn’t done with Becca just yet…

A second chance with the mate he lost.
If Nolan Byers could have one do-over, it would be Becca. He and Becca were too young when she got pregnant, and when she lost the baby, they drifted apart. Becca left town, taking Nolan’s heart with her.

Time hasn’t healed this wound. If anything, the pain is worse. Nine long and lonely years pass until, one day, she returns to Bearden. Becca… his Becca. She’s as beautiful as ever. The moment he sees her, he knows why he never wanted another woman. Because of Becca.

His one. His only. His mate for life.

Now he just needs to convince Becca to forgive him. But the feisty fox shifter wants nothing to do with him. He sees her around town and she either shuts him down, brushes him off, or flat-out ignores him.

Her sass infuriates Nolan’s bear. His self-control unravels a little more each time he sees his beautiful, aggravating and smart-mouthed little mate. When a fire burns through Becca’s home, a fire that starts under suspicious circumstances, Nolan makes his move.
