Cover Lover – 8 New Titles

So, in the process of updating the 2013 New Releases, I came across a few new covers (or rather, some that have been out for a while and I just didn’t notice). This crew runs the gamut from not bad to not great, with a couple that I really liked.

This first one is actually the mass market paperback version of the cover for Shelly Laurenston‘s Big Bad Beast, which will be released on October 29th.

big bad beastSharon Page‘s Blood series continues with the release of Blood Curse on October 29th. The covers for this series definitely have kept the same feel going, but they aren’t something that would make me want to grab them off the shelf.

blood curseEverlasting Enchantment from Kathryne Kennedy, part of her Relics of Merlin series, will be released on December 3rd.

I admit I haven’t ready any of the Dark Ink Chronicles books from Elle Jasper, but I do love the covers. Darklove will be released on December 3rd.

darkloveThis next one is from Ashlyn Chase. How to Date a Dragon is due out on September 3rd. I do like this one, but it could use more detail. To me, it looks a bit unfinished, and a blurb or tagline on the top would’ve done wonders.

how to date a dragonNow these next three are all young adult. I thought that the cover for Never Fade, from Alexandra Bracken, was a beauty. I love covers that step away from the normal character shot and use a symbol instead. Look for Never Fade in hardcover on October 15th.

the darkest mindsP.C. and Kristin Cast continue their House of Night series with the release of Revealed on October 15th.

revealedAnd this final one is from Natalie J. Damschroder. Sunroper is the third book in her Goddesses Rising trilogy, due out on December 31st.

sunroperAny clear winners or losers for you? I loved Never Fade, it has made me want to grab both it and the first book in the Darkest Minds series, and Darklove is great, too. What surprised me was the total change in style for Sunroper – it gives me a very YA vibe, which it isn’t at all. I like it, but it just didn’t seem to fit what I know of the series.

Cover Lover – 3 New Titles

These first two I grabbed from All Things Urban Fantasy, so thanks again.  The second book from Jocelynn Drake‘s new Asylum Tales series, Dead Man’s Deal, will be released on May 7th.

Suzanne Johnson‘s Elysian Fields, part of her Sentinels of New Orleans series, will be released in hardcover on August 13th.

This final one is from Natalie J. DamschroderHeavy Metal is part of her Goddesses Rising series, and it is due out on July 30th.

Hm, I actually like all three covers.  The first one is funky, the second one is artsy and cool, and the third one is hot.  Not a bad set at all.

Cover Lover – 10 New Titles

I have been busy in the world of updating and adding to the new release pages (damn you, wordpress, and your error screens), but I did come across a few new covers in the process.  Many thanks to All Things Urban Fantasy for some of these, as well.  Natalie J. Damschroder has the new cover for the first book in her Goddess Rising series, Under the Moon.  This one will be re-released on June 12th.

The third and final book from Sophie Jordan‘s Firelight series, Hidden, will be released in hardcover on September 11th.  This is another one I will get to…one day.

The second book from Brigid Kemmerer‘s new Elemental series, Spark, is going to be out on September 1st.

Immortally Yours, the next one from Angie Fox, looks fun.  It is due out on August 28th.

I thought this one was pretty.  Christina Ashcroft‘s Archangel of Mercy, the first book of a new series, is due out on December 4th.

Still going…Number 6 is from author Karsten Knight and his Wildefire series.  Embers and Echoes is the second book of the series, due out on August 28th.

Heaven and Hellsbane, the first book in the Hellsbane series from Paige Cuccaro, should be released on August 7th.

South of Surrender, the third book of Laura Kaye‘s Hearts of the Anemoi series, is looking like a September 11th release.  Oddly enough, I didn’t find the cover for book two, as yet.

And these last two are from Rosalie Lario and the MMP re-release of two of the books in her Demons of Infernum series.  First up is book one, Blood of the Demon, due out on June 12th.

And book two, Mark of the Sylph, which is due for re-release on September 11th.
